Unity brings championship
Still in high spirits after winning the title, head coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang shared: "I am really happy. I want to thank the whole team, especially the players. They played with great determination, showing great solidarity to achieve the best results in the regional tournament. In my opinion, the spirit, effort and especially the solidarity of the players brought victory in the final match. That was the most important factor that brought the Vietnamese women's futsal team to the championship."
Regarding the tactics when facing the Thai women's futsal team in the final, coach Dinh Hoang revealed: "The match schedule is very tight, playing 5 matches in 5 days, that is a big problem for the female players. Therefore, the coaching staff has specific plans for each match, rotating the players to keep them in the best physical condition. In the final match of the group stage against Thailand, the coaching staff calculated for the players to play to keep their legs, then put all their strength into the final rematch with the Thais."
Reasonable tactics of coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and the coaching staff helped the Vietnamese women's futsal team win the championship.
"In the final, after two 0-0 draws, the coaching staff realized that the physical strength of the Vietnamese players had declined, so they encouraged them mentally and psychologically. At the same time, the coaching staff instructed the players to focus on controlling the game at important moments, then take advantage of the opponent's weaknesses. In the end, the Vietnamese women's futsal team took advantage of two opportunities from set pieces to win the final match," added the head coach of the Vietnamese women's futsal team.
"Proud that Vietnam defeated Thailand to become champion"
Tran Thi Thuy Trang is one of the important factors, contributing significantly to helping the Vietnamese women's futsal team win the regional tournament. This achievement becomes even more special for Thuy Trang, as she has become the only Vietnamese player to date to win the Southeast Asian championship in both 11-a-side and futsal.

Thuy Trang played for the Vietnam women's futsal team from 2011 to 2013 (winning 2 SEA Games silver medals), before moving to the 11-a-side field and winning many glories with the Vietnam women's team. She said goodbye to the Vietnam women's team in 2023 and returned to contribute to the Ho Chi Minh City women's club, then once again participated in the futsal field.
The midfielder born in 1988 also affirmed that it was the spirit of solidarity of the whole team that helped the Vietnamese women's futsal team overcome difficult times and reach the Southeast Asian championship. "I am very happy and proud to be able to defeat the Thai futsal team to win the championship. I have met Thailand many times, from the 11-a-side field to the futsal field. On the 11-a-side field, my teammates and I have defeated Thailand many times. However, on the futsal field, I have only won 1 match against Thailand, before the 2013 SEA Games. For me, facing the Thai futsal team has never been easy. Up to now, their level is also very high. Therefore, the feeling is hard to describe when defeating a strong opponent in the final and winning the championship", Thuy Trang expressed.
