In the 200m race, athletes competed in the following events: men's 20-person boat, women's 10-person boat, mixed 20-person boat, men's 10-person boat, women's 20-person boat, and mixed 10-person boat. This event demanded speed, intensity, and seamless coordination from each athlete. However, with their long track record and experience, Ho Chi Minh City still dominated, winning an additional 3 gold medals and 2 silver medals, bringing their total to 8 gold, 6 silver, and 2 bronze medals, placing them first overall. Thai Nguyen was also a strong team, particularly notable for its predominantly female athletes (with only 4 male athletes), resulting in fierce competition in each event and in crucial matches.
Winning an additional gold and a bronze medal helped the Thai Nguyen rowing team secure second place overall. Third place went to the host province, Binh Thuan rowing team, with 3 gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze medals. On the final day of competition, with the finals, Ho Chi Minh City, Thai Nguyen, and Da Nang were the stronger teams, dominating due to their youthful energy. Participating in this morning's competitions, the Binh Thuan rowing team made a tremendous effort to maintain their position in the medal standings.
Over the three days of competition, nearly 300 athletes (including 126 female athletes) from the provinces and cities of An Giang, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Binh, Quang Nam, Thai Nguyen, Vinh Phuc, and the host province Binh Thuan participated.
Prize The competition features 18 events for men, women, and mixed teams in 10- and 20-seater boats; there are three distances: 1,000m, 500m, and 200m at Bau Trang Lake. This is a beautiful but challenging competition location for athletes this season.
