The Timor Leste team was present in Vietnam and started training at Hang Day yard today (5.12), in order to prepare the Thai talent competition at 20:00 on 7.12.
Group A of the AFF Cup 2024 is a competition between the teams of Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Singapore and Timor Leste.
Despite the absence of the Vietnamese team, domestic audiences can still watch the two matches in this group live. The reason is that the Timor Leste team, due to not having a stadium that meets the standards of the Southeast Asian Football Federation, decided to rent Hang Day Stadium to play two home matches.

At Hang Day yard, Timor Leste will meet Thailand (8.12) and Singapore (17.12). In particular, the competition between Timor Leste and Thailand is considered the most difference.
This team had to compete with Brunei in the play-off round to win the right to participate in the group stage of the AFF Cup 2024.
However, Timor Leste football is making progress. Most recently in 2022, U.23 Timor Leste reached the semi-finals of the U.23 Southeast Asia and caused many difficulties for U.23 Vietnam. After a 0-0 draw with their opponents in 120 minutes, coach Dinh The Nam and his team won on penalties to reach the final, then defeated Thailand to win the championship.
The Thai team is still the top championship, although there is no Theerathon Bunmathan or Chanathip Songkrasin in the squad.
However, Thailand still has some excellent players who are among the top players in the country's football today. The pair of players Supachok Sarachat and Ekanit Panya will be very promising stars to help the Thai team enter a new era with more promise.
