Bich Tuyen and LPBank Ninh Binh Club are about to compete with the strongest clubs in the world.
Bich Tuyen and her teammates will play their first match on December 17 against NEC Red Rockets. This is not a strange opponent for LPBank Ninh Binh because they have faced this Japanese team twice at AVC Club 2024 and lost both times. In the third confrontation, the Vietnamese female athletes certainly want to repay this debt in full.
In the next match, coach Thai Thanh Tung and his team will face the team considered the strongest in the world today, Imoco Conegliano. The Italian team owns outstanding stars in the world of women's volleyball such as Joanna Wołosz (Poland), Gabi Guimarães (Brazil), Zhu Ting (1.98 m tall, former captain of the Chinese women's volleyball team)... In particular, Vietnamese volleyball fans will witness the talent of Isabelle Haak (Sweden), considered one of the best opposite players in the world at the moment. Isabelle Haak won the title of Best Female Volleyball Player in Europe in 2022, known as the "Queen of Swedish Volleyball" or "Queen of Northern Volleyball". With a height of 1.96 m, at the European Golden League 2023, in just 8 matches Isabelle Haak scored a total of 245 points, a record number.
LPBank Ninh Binh’s other opponent, Dentil Praia Clube, defeated Sport Center 1 (actually the Vietnamese team) last season. Despite losing, the Vietnamese girls’ performance still satisfied the audience.
To prepare for the second phase of the 2024 National Volleyball Championship, LPBank Ninh Binh Club is having a training trip in Thailand. On October 29, Bich Tuyen and her teammates had a practice match with Hand in Hand RMUTT team and won with a score of 4-1 (25-23, 25-14, 23-25, 25-22, 15-8).
Regarding the force, LPBank Ninh Binh has no changes compared to the time of competing in the Asian Club Championship. The expected mainstays are still the trio in the national team including Nguyen Thi Trinh, Le Thanh Thuy, Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen along with Nguyen Thi Hoai Mi, Luu Thi Hue and Dang Thi Hong (on loan from Thai Nguyen)... In addition, the team also decided to keep Thai foreign player Warisara after his impressive performance at the recent Asian tournament. With this force, LPBank Ninh Binh aims to defend the championship title in this year's tournament.
After the first phase of the 2024 national championship, LPBank Ninh Binh temporarily ranked 3rd on the rankings with 10 points. Bich Tuyen's team is 2 points behind the top team, Binh Phuoc Information Corps, and 1 point behind the second team, VTV Binh Dien Long An. With not too big a gap, coach Thai Thanh Tung and his team can completely overcome to get favorable results in the second phase (starting from November 7-17 in Lao Cai), then aim for the 2024 Women's Club World Cup with the goal of competing and learning from the strongest opponents in the world.
