Vietnam U23 has been playing relatively well recently, winning the Southeast Asian U23 Championship and qualifying for the 2024 AFC U23 Championship. Thanks to that, the value of many Vietnam U23 players has skyrocketed according to the valuation of the international transfer website Transfermarkt .
Take the case of Le Van Do for example. In just a short time, this player's price increased from 50,000 Euros to 125,000 Euros (about 3.2 billion VND).
Besides his success with U23 Vietnam, Le Van Do also made his mark in the Hanoi Police Club last season. After 16 appearances, he contributed 3 goals and 1 assist.
Two players, Ngoc Thang and Ho Van Cuong, are also valued at 125,000 Euros like Le Van Do. Both are trusted by coach Troussier for the Vietnam U23 team. In addition, they are also pillars of the Hong Linh Ha Tinh and Song Lam Nghe An clubs last season.
The two midfielders Hoang Van Toan and Thai Son also recorded good increases. They both reached the 100,000 Euro mark.
Meanwhile, Luong Duy Cuong and Phan Tuan Tai are currently the highest-valued players in the Vietnam U23 team with 150,000 Euros (about 3.9 billion VND). They have both made their names known in the youth ranks and are important players in the club.
According to Transfermarkt's valuation, the total value of the U23 Vietnam squad is 1.72 million Euros (about more than 44 billion VND). We own the 4th most valuable squad in Southeast Asia, after U23 Malaysia (2.13 million Euros), U23 Thailand (2.28 million Euros) and U23 Indonesia (4.23 million Euros).
However, U23 Vietnam is the Southeast Asian team ranked in the highest seed group at the 2024 U23 Asian Cup. Coach Troussier's team is in the second seed group with Iraq, South Korea, and Australia.
Meanwhile, U23 Thailand is in the 3rd seed group, while U23 Indonesia and U23 Malaysia are in group 4.
