This morning (February 13), the Organizing Committee of the 2024-2025 National Professional Tournaments sent an official dispatch to Ha Tinh Club regarding the quality of the grass at Ha Tinh Stadium. At the request of the Organizing Committee, this team must temporarily suspend all training and competition activities on the field area to care for, maintain, and repair the grass before round 15 of V.League 2024-2025.
Based on the report and related documents, the tournament organizers assessed that the Ha Tinh field "has very sparse, uneven, bumpy grass, and a muddy surface, greatly affecting the professional performance of the match and the overall image of the tournament and the club".
On February 21, the organizing committee will re-evaluate the quality of Ha Tinh Club's stadium. If it still does not meet the requirements, the team, which is undefeated in the 2024-2025 V.League, will have to borrow another stadium to host home matches in the next phase of the V.League.
The grass of Ha Tinh stadium was criticized.
In the next two rounds, Ha Tinh Club will play away. Therefore, the request to temporarily suspend training and competition activities at Ha Tinh Stadium will not affect the organization of matches in rounds 13 and 14.
The most recent home match of coach Nguyen Thanh Cong and his team was a 0-0 draw with the Hanoi Police Club on February 10. After the match, coach Alexandre Polking of the away team criticized the Ha Tinh field.
"When I saw the Ha Tinh pitch, all my plans almost fell apart. It's terrible that teams have to play on pitches like this. Today, my players couldn't play the football I wanted. The ball bounced too much, making it difficult to control. We had to use long balls more than usual. There was a very long break, which should have been used to maintain the pitch. The bad pitch affects all teams.
There are two reasons why Ha Tinh FC is unbeaten. They have very good foreign players. A striker and a very strong central defender. The players are determined and united. Second, they have the advantage of being familiar with the field. Playing on this field, it is very difficult for away teams to defeat Ha Tinh," said the head coach of the Hanoi Police Club.
The coach then posted on social media a photo of the Ha Tinh stadium's grass, with a cow symbol.
