Nguyen Le Thuy Tien, Pa Co ethnic group, Hong Thuong commune, was very excited to join in the fun and exchange with friends from other ethnic groups at the Traditional Cultural Village of Ethnic Groups in A Luoi district: “I always respect and bring my ethnic costumes. Wherever I go, I talk about my ethnic group and I am very proud of it. I always spread it to everyone. I met many friends from different ethnic groups such as Co Tu, Ta Oi, Pa Hy... Everyone joined hands to spread it and introduce to their friends what cultural features our ethnic group has...”.

The Traditional Cultural Village of Ethnic Groups was established to meet the aspirations of ethnic minorities in A Luoi district. The village is located in the middle of a poetic sim hill, including a communal house and 3 traditional houses of the Pa Co, Ta Oi, Co Tu ethnic groups...

This is a "common village" where the cultural identity of ethnic minorities in A Luoi district is preserved, maintained, reproduced and promoted. This common village is also a place to demonstrate the spirit of solidarity, loyalty, and wholehearted following of the Party and Uncle Ho of the ethnic minorities in A Luoi district. Mr. Le Quang Vinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hong Thuong commune, A Luoi district affirmed: "The Cultural Village of Ethnic Minorities in A Luoi district is built in Hong Thuong commune. This is a great honor for the commune. Together with A Luoi district, we both preserve the traditional cultural values ​​imbued with the identity of ethnic minorities and develop tourism in the area in the future".

At the Village of Traditional Culture of Ethnic Minorities, there will be many activities recreating traditional festivals, displaying and introducing handicraft products, performing traditional crafts and folk cultural activities. Ms. Le Thi Them, Head of the Department of Culture and Information of A Luoi district, said that artisans and ethnic people themselves become the subjects and beneficiaries of traditional cultural activities of their ethnic groups: "Artistic and folk cultural activities are organized according to the traditions of the ethnic groups. Artisans are the ones who directly transmit, perform and practice activities related to festivals and traditional cultural features of their ethnic groups."

The A Luoi District Ethnic Cultural Village was invested with nearly 40.8 billion VND from the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction and the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the period 2021 - 2030, phase 1 from 2021 - 2025. Currently, phase I of the project has completed the inter-commune traffic route from Phu Vinh commune to Hong Thuong commune connecting Ho Chi Minh road to the district Ethnic Cultural Village along with many auxiliary items and infrastructure to ensure meeting the needs of daily life and attracting visitors and experiential tourism.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hai, Vice Chairman of A Luoi District People's Committee said: "The district is building a common house, where traditional cultural products of ethnic minorities will be exhibited. At the same time, this is also a place to educate the younger generation, major events at the district level and of ethnic groups will also be held here, both preserving and developing the local tourism economy."

In the next phase, A Luoi district will develop a detailed planning project for the Traditional Cultural Village of Ethnic Minorities in A Luoi district with a scale of 30 hectares, including the construction of items: central square, craft village area, boat dock, ethnographic museum, tomb area, rice fields, recreating the daily life of people in the past... Thereby contributing to preserving and promoting the value of cultural activities that have been included by the Ministry of Culture - Sports and Tourism in the list of tangible and intangible cultural heritages of the country that need to be preserved and developed.
