Vietlott's jackpot is the highest in history, could reach over 310 billion VND

Recently, in the 1,013th draw of Vietlott's Power 6/55 product, the jackpot has exceeded 297 billion VND. Thus, just in the next draw (draw 1,014, March 28), Vietlott's jackpot will reach the highest level in history.

According to the recent increase in prizes, the jackpot of Power 6/55 product increased from 13 - 15 billion VND/period. Thus, the jackpot in the 1,014th draw will most likely reach around 310 billion VND, higher than the largest jackpot in Vietlott's history (nearly 304 billion VND).

Regardless of whether or not there is a jackpot winner, the next draw will be the biggest yet. This is prompting players to buy more lottery tickets to hope for luck. Some people in Ho Chi Minh City have spent tens of millions of dong, even hundreds of millions of dong, to “hunt” for the big prize.

Vietlott’s biggest prize to date is the Jackpot 1 prize of the Power 6/55 product worth nearly 304 billion VND. On May 5, 2018, a man in Hanoi was lucky enough to win this prize with the number set 16 – 32 – 33 – 37 – 40 – 48.

For the Power 6/55 product, the probability of winning the jackpot for each number series is 1/29 million, which means the winning rate is quite low but the prize value increases rapidly. However, players can win Jackpot 2 with a higher chance of winning and the prize value is not less than 3 billion VND.

In the US, the Powerball product is similar to Power 6/55, players can choose 6 numbers from 01 - 69. However, Powerball has a much lower winning probability than Vietnam's Power 6/55. The winning rate of each Powerball number series is 1/292 million.
