On the morning of January 10, the Hai Duong Provincial Cooperative Union summarized the work in 2024 and set out directions and tasks for 2025, launching an emulation movement.
Attending and speaking at the conference, comrade Tran Van Quan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, commended the results achieved by the provincial cooperative system in 2024.
He suggested that the Provincial Cooperative Union promote innovation in propaganda work, develop and improve the efficiency of collective economy and cooperatives in the new situation.
The Provincial Cooperative Union needs to proactively advise the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee to issue and effectively implement plans and projects for the development of cooperative economy, cooperatives, and cooperative groups. Closely coordinate with departments, branches, districts, towns, and cities to synchronously deploy activities to support the development of collective economy, cooperative economy, and cooperatives.
Continue to promote and develop new-style cooperatives, dissolve and terminate weak and ineffective cooperative models, and advise on appropriate mechanisms and policies to promptly support cooperatives.
Cooperatives in the province need to strengthen joint ventures and associations in production and product consumption, proactively develop production and business plans according to the value chain. Proactively accumulate land suitable to local conditions, improve income for cooperative members. Build model cooperatives associated with the value chain of key goods.
In 2025, the Hai Duong Provincial Cooperative Union will continue to promote the dissemination of Resolution No. 20-NQ/TW in 2022 on continuing to innovate, develop and improve the efficiency of collective and cooperative economies. Strengthen and support cooperatives in building value chain models, associated with product linkage and consumption, cooperative models applying high technology and digital transformation.
In 2025, the province strives to establish 20 more cooperatives, recruit 10-15 members and carry out trade promotion activities, introduce products to member units. Each district, city and town has at least 3 cooperatives participating in the "One Commune One Product" Program; 50% of cooperatives organize production, consume products, and build local brands.
In 2024, the province will have 530 cooperatives, of which 372 will operate in the agricultural sector, the rest in the general services, non-agricultural and other sectors. Currently, nearly 30% of cooperatives operate in the production and consumption chain of agricultural products. The average revenue is 1 billion VND/agricultural cooperative, the revenue of each member cooperative is estimated at 700 million VND, the revenue of each non-agricultural cooperative is about 2 billion VND. Each cooperative earns an average profit of 330 million VND/year.
The province has about 198,000 members participating in cooperatives. The number of members who are regular workers of the cooperative is 6,737 people, accounting for 49.9% of the total number of workers of the cooperative. The average income of regular workers in the cooperative in 2024 is 66 million VND/person/year. The province has 80 OCOP products of the cooperative.
At the conference, Tan Minh Duc Cooperative received a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented a certificate of merit to the Hai Duong Provincial Cooperative Union Office. In addition, many collectives and individuals were awarded for their outstanding achievements in production and business in 2024.
