On March 26, Vietnam Railways Corporation launched a tourist train connecting Hue - Da Nang called "Connecting Central Heritage".
Train number HD1 consists of 10 carriages, including 2 community carriages serving Hue cuisine and Hue songs.

The train is equipped with soft, air-conditioned seats, placed next to the windows for visitors to enjoy the scenery along the railway line considered the most beautiful in Vietnam, connecting Hue - Da Nang.
On this train, a group of Hue chamber music artists performed Nam Binh, Phu Luc, Co Ban… for tourists. This carriage was also decorated by Vietnam Railways in the traditional style of the ancient royal court.

Next to this carriage is the culinary carriage, with a variety of Hue cakes and fruits such as banh it, cha lua, nem Hue... and drinks for tourists to freely choose from on this heritage journey.
The train departs at 7:30 a.m. from Hue station. During the 3-hour journey, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the sky and clouds as the train passes through Lang Co Bay, Hai Van Pass, Tien Sa Beach, etc.
The train connecting Hue - Da Nang is equipped with soft, air-conditioned seats and arranged close to large windows for visitors to enjoy the scenery.
In particular, the train stopped at Lang Co station located halfway up Hai Van pass for 10 minutes, so that visitors could get off the train to take photos and check-in.
Passenger Nguyen Hoa said this was the first time he had traveled on such a special train.
"I hope this train will have more interesting tourist experiences such as experiencing traditional Hue handicrafts," Hoa said.
On the train, visitors can also watch the Hue Ao Dai performance.
Mr. Dang Si Manh, Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam Railway Corporation, said that putting into operation the train "Connecting Central Heritage" is one of the efforts to connect regions and promote tourism of Thua Thien Hue province and Da Nang city.
"This is a new product, continuing the transportation business products combined with tourism services, a unique and interesting segment of experience, tourism, history, culture, heritage that Vietnam Railways has been implementing," said Mr. Manh.
The train only stops at Lang Co station.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, said that putting the tourist train connecting Hue - Da Nang into operation aims to introduce an interesting type of tourist transport into exploitation, helping to strengthen the tourism connection between the two localities.
"With this train, we hope that tourists coming to Hue and Da Nang will have an interesting experience on their journey to visit and experience heritage destinations and tourist attractions in the Central region," said Mr. Phuong.
