The heritage train will take passengers from Hanoi Station to Gia Lam Railway Factory to participate in the Design and Creativity Festival from November 18 to 26.
The railway industry will organize two separate trains named Heritage Journey from Hanoi station through Long Bien station to Gia Lam station, departing at 8:00 and 13:20, the opposite direction from Gia Lam station at 10:50 and 16:00. Ticket price is 20,000 VND each way. The train consists of 3 cars, specially designed, artistically decorated. There are artists performing on the train.
From Gia Lam Station, visitors can walk to Gia Lam Railway Factory - where the Hanoi Design and Creativity Festival is held, visit many architectural works and Tu Luc steam locomotive, a symbol of the railway industry.
Mr. Hoang Nang Khang, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Railways Corporation, said that the train is dedicated to serving tourists during the festival, passing through 3 historical stations to help people understand more about the industry's heritage. After the festival week, the unit will continue to invest and decorate Hanoi and Long Bien stations to become tourist attractions, enhancing cultural and historical values.

The Hanoi Design and Creativity Festival takes place from November 17 to 26. The city will have 60 cultural activities, introducing 4 architectural works, 20 exhibitions and displays, a series of community events at many locations such as Gia Lam Railway Factory, Hang Dau Water Tower, Van Xuan Flower Garden, Long Bien Station, Gia Lam Station and in many districts and towns. The festival has the participation of more than 200 units, creators and artists. The activities are open to visitors free of charge.
Gia Lam Railway Factory will host the opening and closing ceremonies and organize many creative design exhibitions, awakening the "sleeping" factories and warehouses. Hang Dau Water Tower will open its doors to visitors for the first time. It will display Water Installation and the Hang Dau Water Tower Heritage with light installation art from recycled materials and a water sound system.
Mr. Do Dinh Hong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, said that this year's festival with the theme of Flow focuses on three pillars: design, community and creativity. The events aim to promote the historical and cultural traditions, towards the development of the capital's creative and cultural industries; encourage the formation of creative communities and connect the fields of cultural industries, architecture, fine arts, etc.
After 10 days of organizing the festival, the Department will propose that the city have a mechanism to preserve public assets with cultural value, attracting tourists such as Gia Lam Railway Factory and Hang Dau water tower.
