National Defense Economic Group 92 competes to make achievements to celebrate traditional day

From the Union headquarters to the departments, offices, and production teams, everywhere there is a vibrant atmosphere of determination to compete and celebrate the traditional day.

Beside the mountains and forests of the border area, under the morning sunlight, the 92nd Economic-Defense Group (KTQP) barracks appears very formal, green, clean and beautiful. Rows of green, lush trees along with colorful flower beds are interspersed with banners, flags and slogans. In the offices, officers and employees are absorbed in their work. When meeting and interacting with officers, employees and young volunteer intellectuals, everyone is excited and the competitive spirit spreads...

Colonel Luu Duc Chinh, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the 92nd Military Economic Group, happily said: “Looking forward to the 24th anniversary of the Traditional Day, each collective and each cadre and employee of the 92nd Group always feels honored and proud; with the spirit of “one person doing the work of two”, uniting to overcome all difficulties, implementing well the models to help people eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, and excellently completing all assigned tasks”.

Witnessing the staff, employees, and Youth Union Center of the unit guiding people to plant and care for seedlings in the unit's peanut garden, we could see more clearly the sense of responsibility, dedication, and devotion of the staff of Group 92. Despite the hot and humid weather, the staff still diligently guided the people carefully and meticulously on how to plant, care for, and prevent pests and diseases for peanuts. With their enthusiasm, the staff of the unit brought to the people the necessary and useful knowledge to develop the home-based model with practical results.

Major Bui Quoc Duan, Deputy Head of Production Team 3 said: “With the motto of “being close to the people, understanding the people, multiplying effective models”, we always proactively stay close to the locality to guide and help people develop the economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty. Especially, towards the traditional day of the unit, we are even more proud and excited to try to overcome difficulties to carry out our tasks with practical and specific actions”.

With the practical work of the staff of Group 92, they have contributed to helping many households in the A So project area, A Luoi district, gradually escape poverty, bringing joy to the people in the border villages. Mr. Ho Chi Hieu, A Dot village, Lam Dot commune, A Luoi district happily said: "With the guidance of the staff of Group 92, my family has developed models such as growing green squash and ginger. Now the green squash is ready for harvest, bringing income to my family."

Arriving at the unit’s growing area, we were truly impressed by the lush green of vegetables such as Malabar spinach, amaranth, sweet potato leaves, chives and the trellises of squash and pumpkins laden with fruit. The staff eagerly tended the gardens and trellises; some dug the soil, weeded, others watered the vegetables. Without anyone telling anyone, everyone was excited and happy, performing their duties with the highest sense of responsibility.

Carefully taking care of the green squash on the trellis, Captain Luu Khanh Thanh, an employee of the Logistics-Technical Department, an "expert" in caring for vegetables, said: "In addition to completing our professional tasks well, we go down to the garden together to increase production. For the trellis and garden to grow well, we mobilize to take field soil to dry, crush it and cover the vegetable beds; take green manure to compost with manure to fertilize the vegetables; organize watering twice a day, in the morning and evening. The green vegetable beds, the squash trellis full of fruit, that is the most practical result to offer on the unit's traditional day."
