Solemn Ceremony to Celebrate the 68th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Youth Union

Attending the event were leaders of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union , the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union; representatives of Da Nang city leaders, representatives of the Vietnam Youth Unions of provinces and cities, along with domestic and foreign units and organizations, and a large number of union members and youth of Da Nang city.

Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union Nguyen Kim Quy said that after more than 68 years of formation and development, the Vietnam Youth Union has continuously grown with more than 10 million members, and the youth solidarity front has been increasingly expanded.

Currently, the Association is present in 63 provinces and cities, 4 domestic and foreign corporations and groups, and 5 Vietnamese Youth and Student Associations abroad.

In recent times, along with the development of science and technology and digital transformation in all areas of social life, the Vietnam Youth Union at all levels has strongly innovated its methods of operation, built programs and activities of the Union that approach the interests of the organization and the needs of young people, suitable for the characteristics and personalities of young people, creating an environment for young people to help young people practice and mature.

The Association has paid much attention to gathering ethnic youth, religious youth, disabled youth, youth in difficult circumstances, Vietnamese youth abroad, youth in non-state enterprises, to successfully complete the political and professional tasks of each locality and unit.

Awards such as: “October 15”, “Beautiful Youth”, “Golden Star of Vietnam”, “Outstanding Young Entrepreneur” and activities such as: “I Love My Fatherland” Journey, “March Border Month”, “Sharing with Teachers”; “Journey of Young Doctors Following Uncle Ho’s Teachings”, “Footsteps for the Community”, “Young Workers’ Festival” have created an environment for members and young people to participate in training; at the same time, affirming the role of the Vietnam Youth Union organization that always accompanies the development of Vietnamese youth.

"The Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union calls on every cadre, member and youth today to continuously strive to continue the glorious tradition of the Vietnam Youth Union with constant efforts and struggles, bringing our country on par with the world powers and successfully realizing the wishes of beloved great Uncle Ho and the aspirations of the nation in the current period," emphasized Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union Nguyen Kim Quy.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union awarded the "October 15" Award - a noble award of the Union to 85 Union officials with many outstanding achievements in the work of the Union and the youth movement.

These are the cadres selected from 147 profiles proposed by 51 units of the Vietnam Youth Union of provinces, cities and affiliated units.

To celebrate the 68th anniversary of the Vietnam Youth Union's Traditional Day, the Union's chapters, cadres, members and youth across the country have also organized many programs and activities, carried out many youth projects and tasks, and social security activities towards the community; supported youth start-ups; organized skill camps for youth; and commended and honored outstanding youth in various fields.

This afternoon, the Vietnam Youth Union also inaugurated the project "Youth Sports Space - Replenishing energy, rejuvenating youth" in Da Nang city.
