Provincial Party Committee's 2034 Supervisory Delegation works with Ninh Hai District Party Committee

On March 29, the Supervisory Delegation under Decision No. 2034-QD/TU dated January 29, 2024 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee (referred to as the Provincial Party Standing Committee's Supervisory Delegation 2034) led by Comrade Tran Minh Luc, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, had a working session with Ninh Hai District Party Committee on the results of leadership, direction and organization of the implementation of Resolution No. 12/NQ-TU dated December 30, 2021 of the 14th Provincial Party Executive Committee on the Climate Change Adaptation Program for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.

Attending were members of the Provincial Party Committee: Tran Minh Nam, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Chamaléa Thi Thuy, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department.

Implementing Resolution No. 12-NQ/TU, the Party Committee and the government of Ninh Hai district focused on doing a good job of leadership, direction, and developing implementation plans to ensure the contents set out in the resolution. Propaganda work was focused on, contributing to raising awareness of cadres, party members and the community in preventing and avoiding natural disasters. Increasing investment, renovating and upgrading irrigation systems, infrastructure of aquatic seed production areas; many models of converting to dry crops and water-saving irrigation were maintained and replicated. Encouraging people and businesses to use electricity economically; Strengthen inspection and guidance for businesses in waste treatment, overcome environmental pollution during production... Up to now, the rate of collection and treatment of rural solid waste has reached 100%, the area of proactive irrigation has reached 62.38%, 100% of schools in the area have developed plans to respond to the risk of landslides and flooding caused by storms and floods; the forest coverage rate has reached 45.01%.

After listening to the comments of the members of the monitoring delegation, concluding the working session, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested the Ninh Hai District Party Committee to continue reviewing and re-evaluating the indicators of Resolution No. 12-NQ/TU, thereby further enhancing the role and responsibility of the government and leaders at all levels in leading and directing tasks and solutions to adapt to climate change and mitigate natural disasters. Regularly organize propaganda activities, especially in the community; proactively develop annual plans for natural disaster prevention, control and search and rescue, clearly identify areas frequently affected by natural disasters to have timely response solutions. Be flexible in organizing production to adapt to climate change; synchronously and drastically implement solutions to protect and develop forests. Attract investment projects with environmentally friendly and energy-saving production technology to minimize greenhouse gas emissions.
