(Haiphong.gov.vn) - Preparing for the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly, on April 25, the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Phong city met with voters of Tien Lang district and Le Chan district. The conference was held in a combination of in-person and online formats, connecting to communes, wards and towns in the area.

Representative of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Phong city reported the expected content and program of the 7th session, 15th National Assembly.

Hai Phong National Assembly delegates participating in the meeting included: Do Manh Hien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; Vu Thanh Chuong, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Director of the City Police Department; Tong Van Bang, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

At the meeting, representatives of the Hai Phong City National Assembly Delegation reported on the expected content and program of the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly (scheduled to take place from May 20 to June 27); the socio-economic situation of the whole country in the first months of 2024. Voters all expressed their joy and excitement at the achieved results and their trust in the leadership of the Party and State and the role of the National Assembly.

In Tien Lang district, voters gave many comments, focusing on: requesting the National Assembly, the Government and the Central Ministries and branches to pay attention and soon have mechanisms and policies to attract potential investors to accelerate the implementation of the Southern Economic Zone of Hai Phong city and the Free Trade Zone in Tien Lang district, opening up great opportunities for the development of the district and the city. The Central Government and the city pay attention to investing in infrastructure, have investment policies to develop tourism combined with resorts and accommodation for experts and workers, etc. to exploit the potential and advantages of the locality. It is recommended to pay attention to allocating resources to build dams to prevent saltwater intrusion on the Van Uc and Thai Binh rivers as well as to soon issue a new decree amending Decree No. 117 so that rural people can soon access and use clean water for daily life... Voters in the Court sector contributed some opinions to the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Organization of People's Courts; voters in the Finance and Planning sector proposed that the National Assembly consider, supplement, and expand the mechanism and subjects for canceling auction results in a number of cases as prescribed in Article 72 of the Law on Property Auction; voters in the Health sector proposed that the Government study and direct relevant ministries and branches to issue mechanisms, policies and increase the list of diseases and medicines for health insurance examination and treatment at the commune level...

In Le Chan District, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Khac Nam also attended the meeting with district voters. District voters requested the Government to have more solutions to support procedures and bank loan interest rates so that workers have the opportunity to access social housing. Voters pointed out shortcomings in administrative reform and digital transformation due to lack of synchronization as well as the need to amend and supplement the Road Traffic Law to better suit the actual situation.

Regarding the organization of consultation on urban and rural planning, there should be regulations for each planning level in accordance with the nature, importance and level of influence of the planning level. Voters of the district also requested the Government to direct relevant ministries and branches to soon put the electronic civil status database into operation and use nationwide; the National Assembly should pay attention to the voluntary social insurance policy for people when amending the Law; decentralize the management of roads, dikes and regimes and policies for medical staff. In addition, voters of Le Chan district also gave opinions in the fields of Court, Notary Law, Land Law, Social Insurance Law, etc.

Representatives of the Departments and branches directly exchanged and answered questions at the conference. According to the Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly considered and approved many draft laws, so the Hai Phong City National Assembly Delegation received and synthesized the opinions and suggestions of voters to participate in the discussion at the National Assembly forum.
