The delegation of the French Embassy in Vietnam paid a courtesy visit to the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee

Comrade Le Thanh Do, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received the delegation of the French Embassy in Vietnam.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Comrade Le Thanh Do expressed his joy to welcome the delegation to visit and work in Dien Bien province and informed Mr. Olivier Brochet and the members of the delegation about the progress of the Nam Rom River Basin Multi-Disaster Management Project supported and funded by the French Development Agency (AFD); 2 items: Muong Thanh Bridge Lighting System and Signage System and Tourist Route for Historical Sites in Dien Bien Province funded by AFD from organizations and individuals.

Comrade Le Thanh Do, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented a souvenir to Mr. Olivier Brochet, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Vietnam.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do hopes to continue receiving support from the French Development Agency for the Integrated Water Resources Management Project to serve people's livelihoods, adapt to climate change and develop socio-economy in Tuan Giao district and the Multi-disaster Management Project of Nam Po River Basin to protect people's livelihoods, adapt to climate change and develop socio-economy in Nam Po district. On this occasion, the Chairman of the People's Committee also informed Mr. Olivier Brochet and the delegation about the results of the working trip in November of the leaders of the Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee to France.

On behalf of the delegation, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Vietnam Olivier Brochet sincerely thanked the provincial leaders for their warm welcome to the delegation, as well as providing necessary information on the progress of the implementation of items and projects supported by AFD. Mr. Olivier Brochet affirmed that in the coming time, he will continue to accompany Dien Bien province in activities to improve capacity to respond to climate change and prevent natural disasters, contributing to strengthening the Vietnam - France Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
