On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024), on the morning of December 18, a working delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province led by Comrade Lai The Nguyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation came to congratulate the Command of Military Region 4.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation informed the leaders of Military Region 4 Command about the outstanding results achieved by the Party Committee, government, army and people of all ethnic groups in Thanh Hoa province in 2024.
He stated: Entering the implementation of the 2024 tasks, despite many difficulties and challenges; however, with the spirit of "Discipline - Responsibility - Action - Creativity - Development" of the Party Committees, authorities at all levels, the business community and the people in the province, the socio-economic situation, national defense and security of the province have achieved many positive results, most areas achieved higher results compared to the same period, many important targets exceeded the set plan and were among the leading groups in the country.
The growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in 2024 is estimated at 12.16%, exceeding the set target and ranking second in the country. State budget revenue is estimated at VND 54,341 billion, exceeding the estimate by 52.8%, up 25.9% over the same period, the highest ever, ranking first in the North Central region and among the top 10 localities with the highest revenue in the country.
The quality of cultural and social activities continues to improve; social security is ensured, and people's lives are stable. The campaign to support housing construction for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in the province according to Directive No. 22-CT/TU dated March 30, 2024 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee has been widely implemented and achieved positive results. The political security situation and social order and safety in the province are relatively stable; preparations for Party Congresses at all levels have been carefully prepared.
To achieve these results, in addition to the efforts of the Party Committee, the government, and the people of all local ethnic groups, Thanh Hoa province has always received the attention, support, and assistance of the Party Committee, the Military Region 4 Command, and the armed forces stationed in the province, especially in local military and defense work; in natural disaster prevention, search and rescue, and civil defense, as well as the political tasks of the armed forces of Thanh Hoa province.
