The Police force in general and the Mobile Police in particular have played an important role in implementing armed measures to protect national security and maintain social order and safety.
However, in the face of the recklessness and complexity of crimes, as well as the recent riots and resistance against law enforcement officers, the Mobile Police organization needs to be further improved to ensure consistency and unity with the process of building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and gradually modern People's Police force to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
Faced with that situation, the Ministry of Public Security and the Mobile Police Command researched and established the Cavalry Mobile Police Group to gradually enhance the capacity and combat strength of the Mobile Police force.
On May 12, 2020, the Minister of Public Security issued a Decision approving the Project to establish the Cavalry Mobile Police under the Mobile Police Command.
On the morning of June 8, 2020, at Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi. The Cavalry Mobile Police Corps held a parade and officially launched.
Also on the evening of March 10, at Ho Chi Minh Square, Vinh City, there will be an art program called “Uncle Ho’s teachings will shine forever” with songs praising the glorious Party, beloved Uncle Ho and the Public Security force, performed by the People’s Public Security Song and Dance Troupe.
The activities are part of a series of events celebrating the 76th anniversary of the People's Public Security studying and implementing Uncle Ho's Six Teachings (March 11, 1948 - March 11, 2024) and receiving the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces from Nghe An Provincial Public Security.
On February 7, 2024, President Vo Van Thuong signed Decision No. 158/QD-CTN to confer the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces on two units, including Nghe An Provincial Police, for their outstanding achievements in protecting national security, maintaining social order and safety, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.
This is a noble title, recognizing and honoring the contributions and sacrifices of the Nghe An Provincial Police force in the 79-year history of construction, fighting and growth.
With the consent of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Nghe An Provincial Public Security will hold a ceremony to receive the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces on the morning of March 11, 2024.
