On January 3, Mr. Ho Hoang Anh - Director of Bao Gia Ca Mau Joint Stock Company - confirmed that he had been suspended from work indefinitely.
"100% of the cars are running again, it was just a misunderstanding, the company has now issued a press release," said Mr. Anh.
Previously, many Nam Thang electric taxi drivers in Ca Mau stopped working to demand benefits after the company director banged on the table and proposed to disband the company during a meeting with employees.
Mr. Pham Hoang Nho, a driver of Nam Thang Ca Mau electric taxi, said that his brothers were able to operate their vehicles normally again after the company met with employees and reached some agreements.
"The company's charging policy will be free until June 30, 2027. Other issues that drivers previously reported have been basically resolved by about 70%, so the drivers have resumed operations," Mr. Nho informed.
Previously, social media was stirred up when a 37-second clip appeared, recording a person believed to be a lawyer explaining to company employees about their rights, working conditions, and labor contracts when working for Bao Gia Ca Mau Joint Stock Company.
In the clip, Mr. Ho Hoang Anh - Director of Bao Gia Ca Mau Joint Stock Company - suddenly stood up and banged on the table, demanding "I'm here to say this, if you don't do it, we'll be dismissed". Immediately, about 100 people attending the company meeting left because of this director's actions.

As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , many drivers said that the reason for the collective work stoppage on New Year's Day was because the company had introduced many new policies to pressure employees. Among them were policies that forced drivers to pay additional electric vehicle charging fees, while previously the company had promised employees that it would fully support this cost.
In addition, contracted employees said that there were many unreasonable points in the agreement compared to reality. Although the vehicle is required to be serviced and maintained after running 12,000 km, many drivers had to drive more than double the prescribed number of kilometers but still could not take the vehicle for maintenance, and some tires even showed signs of wear and were not of guaranteed quality but still had to be driven.
Some employees said that when signing the contract, it mentioned insurance for drivers, but in reality, some people have been driving for many months but have not had insurance...
