Phuong Mui May's (26 years old, from Ha Giang) work continues regularly every day, starting from 7am and ending at 11pm. During the 16-hour journey of "running like hell" to receive orders and deliver goods, she has 4 hours every evening to take her young child on the road.

On cold days, having to bring her child along, the mother's heart aches. She loves her child so much, but with her situation, there is no other way. In a foreign land, the female shipper only has her young child to cling to, as her spiritual support, as her motivation to overcome all difficulties.

Many people living on Tam Trinh Street (Yen So Ward, Hanoi) felt sorry for the mother taking her child to work. Many strangers were willing to open their arms to support Ms. May and her child.

When the story of the shipper mother and daughter spread, in early April, Ms. May said goodbye to her small, damp rented room and moved to a more spacious, clean one. The landlord supported May and let her stay for free.

When deciding to support Ms. May and her children, the landlord, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, did not think much, just wanted to share the burden of making a living with this woman with a difficult life.

Ms. Ngoc's family rents a house and runs a business with 6 rooms. She uses the first floor as a grocery store. This room is quite close to the kindergarten where the shipper's children are sent.

That's why, after knowing the female shipper's situation, Ms. Ngoc offered to let Ms. May and her children stay for free until their needs were gone.

The 20m2 room is currently rented for 2 million VND/month. Ms. May and her children do not have to pay rent, only electricity and water.

The room is spacious, with air conditioning and hot water heater. Saving on rent, Ms. May and her children have some savings to take care of their lives.

Not only was Ms. May supported with free accommodation, she was also moved to tears when a kindergarten in the area supported 50% of the childcare and monthly meals for her child.

"It turns out that in the journey to make a living in a foreign land, my mother and I are not alone," Ms. May said, vowing to continue working tirelessly, from early morning to late night, to provide a better life for her children and to carry out plans for a less miserable future.

Previously, Dan Tri reported that Ms. May had attracted the attention of the online community when video clips were posted on social networks. These were clips recording images of her and her 1-year-old daughter wandering the streets in the middle of the night to make a living.

In the widely circulated clip, the little girl smiles brightly when she hears her mother calling. Occasionally, she even nods off and falls asleep in the baby carrier on her mother’s chest. The image makes viewers feel heartbroken.

The above clips have attracted hundreds of thousands of views and tens of thousands of interactions. In the comments below, many people expressed sympathy for Ms. May and her daughter.

May graduated from university in Hanoi. Then she returned to her hometown (Ha Giang) but had no job. At that time, May fell in love with a guy from the same hometown. In 2021, for many reasons, she divorced her husband when she was about 5 months pregnant with her first daughter.

Growing up in a family in the mountainous region of Ha Giang, with poor circumstances, Ms. May decided to "carry" her pregnant belly to Hanoi to earn a living and earn money to take care of her child. She chose the delivery job so that she could be flexible with her time.
