On the occasion of the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (October 1, 1949 - October 1, 2023), General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Van Thuong sent congratulatory messages to General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a congratulatory message to Premier of the State Council of China Li Qiang; Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue sent a congratulatory message to Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China Zhao Leji.

In their congratulatory messages, the leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam expressed their appreciation and congratulations on the achievements in socio-economic development and reform and opening-up that the Party, State and People of China have achieved over the past 74 years; they believe that under the leadership of the Communist Party of China with General Secretary and President Xi Jinping as the core, China will successfully complete the strategic development goals and tasks set forth by the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, soon building China into a modern, prosperous, democratic, civilized, harmonious and beautiful socialist country, making positive contributions to peace, stability and development in the region and the world.
The leaders of our Party and State affirmed that the Party, State and People of Vietnam consistently consider China an important strategic partner and a top priority in Vietnam's foreign policy; emphasizing that 2023 is of great significance to Vietnam-China relations, marking the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership between the two countries. This is also a milestone for the two countries to look back on the past, summarize successful experiences, and jointly plan a sustainable and long-term development future for the traditional neighborly friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China.
On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, Chairman of the Vietnam-China Bilateral Cooperation Steering Committee and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son sent congratulatory messages to Mr. Wang Yi, Director of the Office of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission, Chairman of the China-Vietnam Bilateral Cooperation Steering Committee, and Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of China.
