Russian President Vladimir Putin is in Vladivostok to attend the Eastern Economic Forum. The agenda of the Russia-DPRK summit, according to D. Peskov, will focus on issues of bilateral cooperation in various areas, primarily trade and economic and cultural cooperation, as well as regional and international situations of mutual interest. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko did not rule out the possibility that the two leaders will also discuss the issue of Russia's humanitarian aid to North Korea.
The most recent meeting between President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un took place in Vladivostok in 2019. At that time, the talks focused on denuclearization, the situation on the Korean Peninsula and a number of bilateral issues.
