Under the close and comprehensive leadership of the Party Committee and local government, Nghia Tru commune (Van Giang) has completed the goal of becoming a model new rural commune in education.

Comrade Khuong Van Oanh, Chairman of Nghia Tru Commune People's Committee, said: Over the years, Nghia Tru commune has always been a pioneer in implementing new rural construction with the efforts of the Party Committee, the government and the support of the people. Following the success of being recognized as an advanced new rural area in 2020, in 2021, the locality will continue to build a commune that meets the model new rural standards. There are many important bases for the locality to choose educational criteria, in which the quality of education is constantly improved and is always highly appreciated, often leading the region.

Currently, there are 2 schools in the commune: 1 kindergarten, 1 primary school and 1 junior high school. In order for education to become a model new rural mark, the commune has expanded the school campus, and actively mobilized capital sources to continue renovating, repairing and constructing items and works serving teaching and learning. From 2021 to present, the commune has invested nearly 120 billion VND to renovate and upgrade many items and invest in construction and installation of learning equipment for To Quyen Kindergarten; invested in renovating and upgrading 20 classrooms, building 30 new classrooms, 2 multi-purpose training houses, libraries... for schools in the commune. At the time of assessing the results of building a model new rural area, the commune had 2 schools that met national standards for level 2 facilities: To Quyen Kindergarten, To Hieu Primary and Secondary School; 100% of teachers in the schools met and exceeded the standards.

In 2024, Nghia Tru commune will achieve level 2 literacy standards, the rate of mobilizing preschool-age children to attend class will always reach 100%; the rate of mobilizing 6-year-old children to enter grade 1 will reach 100%; 5th graders completing primary education to enter grade 6 will reach 100%, the rate of high school graduates will reach 100%; university admissions will reach over 70%... Primary and secondary schools have multi-purpose gyms, swimming pools; sports clubs have been established and maintained in regular operation... Along with To Hieu Primary and Secondary School, To Quyen Kindergarten has recently received attention and investment in building facilities. Every year, the school has implemented many solutions to increase the rate of mobilizing children to go to school. Along with that, the school has supplemented the system of facilities to improve the quality of learning and playing for children; creating a friendly and absolutely safe environment. Teachers improve the quality of care, nurturing and education of children in groups and classes, creating prestige with parents, attracting children to school. Therefore, the rate of mobilizing children to go to school always meets and exceeds the planned target; the school has been recognized for many years as an Advanced Labor Collective and an Excellent Labor Collective.

Right from the time of registering to build a model new-style rural commune, the Party Committee and the government of Nghia Tru commune have paid attention to directing tasks and raising awareness of all classes of people about the purpose and meaning of the program. In the process of building a new-style rural commune, from 2021 to present, the commune has mobilized nearly 750 billion VND for building a model new-style rural commune. In 2025, the commune was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a model new-style rural commune in the second phase of 2024 in education. Currently, the commune has no poor households, the average income is 83.37 million VND/person/year; rural infrastructure has many changes, culture - society has developed; rural environmental sanitation is ensured, the infrastructure system continues to be invested in and upgraded; creating an increasingly bright, green, clean and beautiful rural face...
