In reality, at markets, supermarkets and shopping malls, the buying and selling situation is still bustling. Large supermarkets such as Co.opmart Thanh Ha, WinMart, Dien May Xanh, Bach Hoa Xanh... have seen a high growth in the number of customers coming to shop, up 5-10%, revenue increased 15-20% compared to the same period last year. To stimulate consumption and shopping, supermarkets and shopping malls continuously offer attractive incentives and promotions. In addition to direct sales, units and businesses also promote online sales to anticipate the increasingly popular online shopping trend of consumers.
For example, at Co.opmart Thanh Ha, in order to stimulate consumption, especially during holidays and Tet, the supermarket has launched many big promotion programs such as "Come to Co.op to bring Tet home", "Decorate Tet to bring peace and prosperity", up to 50% discount on clothing and household products, "Buy 2, pay 1"... Thanks to that, the supermarket's revenue on the days before Tet reached from 1.4 to 2.1 billion VND/day; the Bach Hoa Xanh store system had an average revenue of 800 million VND/day, an increase of 20% over the same period.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, thanks to the supermarket and convenience store channels organizing many promotional programs, it has stimulated demand and attracted a bustling number of consumers to shop. Total retail sales of goods and service revenue in the province in January 2024 reached 3,533.3 billion VND, up 11.1% over the same period. Of which, retail sales of goods are estimated at 2,695.15 billion VND, up 11.52% over the same period; revenue from accommodation and catering services is estimated at 532.14 billion VND, up 8.77%; tourism revenue is estimated at 1.26 billion VND, up 17.17%; other service revenue is estimated at 304.75 billion VND, up 11.56% over the same period.
In addition, during the Lunar New Year 2024, the Department of Industry and Trade coordinated with relevant units to organize 38 mobile sales trips to 27 communes of 6 districts to bring goods to rural, remote, and ethnic minority areas, with revenue reaching more than 170 million VND and organizing 11 fixed sales points to serve people in the province.
Comrade Tran Quoc Sanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said: In general, before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2024, the market in the province ensures a balance in supply and demand of goods without price fluctuations, especially for food and foodstuffs. In particular, the preparation of goods for Tet has been actively implemented by localities and enterprises early on, along with a market stabilization program with a variety of diverse and abundant goods, meeting the needs of the people well. The prices of goods, especially essential goods, are quite stable. It is forecasted that purchasing power in the market will continue to grow in February when there are still many spring and festival activities.
In order for the revenue from the province's trade and service sector to continue to grow, in the coming time, the Industry and Trade sector will strengthen coordination with localities and enterprises to encourage and facilitate the development of a network of circulation, distribution and retail of goods. Effectively implement the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods"; organize fairs and markets to bring Vietnamese goods to serve rural areas; promote trade promotion to expand the local market for goods. Strengthen market management, strictly and promptly handle acts of buying and selling counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, goods violating food hygiene and safety, and trade fraud, contributing to ensuring healthy market development, stable supply and demand of goods, quality, protecting the legitimate rights of producers and consumers.
