Candidates taking the 2024 Ho Chi Minh City National University Competency Assessment Exam
Today (January 20), Ho Chi Minh City National University opens the registration portal for the 2025 capacity assessment exam, at the address:
In 2025, Ho Chi Minh City National University will organize the first round of the competency assessment exam in 25 provinces and cities on March 30. To participate in this exam, candidates have 1 month to register, from January 20 to February 20.
The first round of the exam will take place in 4 areas:
- Central and South Central regions: Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan.
- Central Highlands: Dak Lak and Lam Dong.
- Southeast: Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Phuoc and Tay Ninh.
- Southwest: Tien Giang, Dong Thap, Vinh Long, An Giang, Can Tho, Kien Giang, Bac Lieu and Ca Mau.
This year's Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment test consists of 3 parts. Part 1 uses language with 60 questions, divided equally between Vietnamese and English. Part 2 uses mathematics with 30 questions. Part 3 uses scientific thinking with 30 questions, of which logic and data analysis have 12 questions, and scientific reasoning has 18 questions.
Part 3 is restructured from the logic - data analysis and problem solving sections in the exam structure for the period 2018-2024, aiming to assess candidates' ability in logic and scientific reasoning to solve real-life situations in the fields of science, technology, economics and society.
The questions in the scientific thinking section are designed to provide information, data, facts, experimental planning, and experimental results, thereby requiring candidates to demonstrate their ability to understand and apply information, determine experimental results, and predict laws.
