Designation - Design Festival 2025 showcases 500 designs

There are more than 500 designs from 400 young designers from 25 universities across the country on display at Designation - Design Festival 2025.

The Designation - Design Festival 2025 event, organized for the first time by the Ho Chi Minh City Design Association, is the largest ever.

400 young designers participate in the exhibition

Mr. Ho Tan Duong - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Design Association - told Tuoi Tre Online that Designation - Design Festival 2025 is a playground connecting young designers with experts and famous designers, seeking cooperation opportunities, and at the same time promoting products to potential customers.

Although it was the first time it was organized on a national scale, it received support from universities with fashion design majors and fashion students across the country.

This year, about 400 young designers came to 25 universities, presenting more than 500 designs. Of these, 10 schools are in Ho Chi Minh City, 4 schools are in the Central region and 11 schools are in the Northern region.

"The organizers hope that everyone will contribute and support young designers and young fashion brands starting up, while also orienting the development of applied fashion.

From there, the fashion industry brings value to the economy and contributes to society" - Mr. Ho Tan Duong emphasized.

Many students with excellent graduation projects participated in displaying designs at this event.

A typical example is young designer Pham Khanh Quynh, who graduated as valedictorian from Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry in 2024.

Khanh Quynh said her mother was a seamstress, sitting at the sewing machine from morning to night was very hard. But because of her love for her mother, she decided to pursue fashion and loved it more and more.

"Fashion has many good things and is not as hard as my mother's. Quynh likes to design evening gowns and ready-to-wear. Quynh's dream is to build a personal fashion brand" - Khanh Quynh confided to Tuoi Tre Online .

Designer Hoang Minh Ha highly appreciates the creativity and love for fashion of design students. He said diligence and hard work have forged young designers with a high creative spirit.

Runner-up Thanh Ngan and MC Minh Khac talk about personal branding

Within the framework of the event, the talk show Personal Brand Management - The story behind the halo , with designer Hoang Minh Ha as the connector, took place on January 10.

Participating in the exchange were Miss Supranational 2023 runner-up Dang Thanh Ngan, MC Minh Khac, model Huu Long and Anna Dang - CEO of The Soul.

Guests share their experiences in building personal brands, tips for overcoming challenges in self-positioning, and valuable lessons from failures and how to turn them into motivation for success.

The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Design Association said that in the coming time, exhibitions will be organized according to each specialty, meeting the diverse needs of young designers, truly an interesting playground.

The Designation - Design Festival 2025 event takes place from January 10 to 12, at the Center for Service Development and Exploitation of Science and Technology Infrastructure (1196 3/2 Street, District 11, Ho Chi Minh City).

The exhibition displays works according to each specialized field: graphic design, multimedia & digital; fashion & ifestyle design; product design; interior design & architecture.

- 2:00 p.m. January 11, talk show Creative Industry: Connecting passion and technology.

- 7:00 p.m. January 12, award ceremony and honoring outstanding works.

- 7:30 p.m. January 12, fashion show by designer Hoang Minh Ha.
