The 2024 Dedication Award Ceremony took place on the evening of March 27 at the Opera House, Hanoi. This is the 18th Dedication Award season and the second season has been expanded to the sports field, with two award systems: the Dedication Music Award and the Dedication Sports Award.
Of which, the Devotion Music Awards has 50 nominations, divided equally across 10 award categories. The nominated artists are all prominent faces of the Vietnamese music industry in the past year.
The Album of the Year award went to the album Minh tinh by Van Mai Huong with the companionship of Hua Kim Tuyen. With an album full of cinematic qualities, Van Mai Huong and Hua Kim Tuyen sent the message: " Every love story we go through gives us different experiences. Like movies where we ourselves are the "stars" in our own stories."
Van Mai Huong and Hua Kim Tuyen received the awards for Album of the Year and Musician of the Year.
Van Mai Huong choked up and shared that she was very surprised to receive this award: "Being here with my soulmate in music and receiving this award is a happiness for me."
This album also brought Hua Kim Tuyen the Musician of the Year award. The moment she received the award, Hua Kim Tuyen could not help but be emotional: "This award is a big surprise for me. I did not think I would be holding this cup in my hands."
The Female Singer of the Year award went to Hoa Minzy. This year she was nominated in two major categories: Female Singer of the Year and Music Video of the Year (with MV Thi Mau).
After waiting 10 years to be accepted and loved by the audience, Hoa Minzy is even happier when she is highly appreciated by experts. This gives the singer born in 1995 more motivation to strive to contribute more.
Hoa Minzy was honored as Female Singer of the Year.
Surpassing other names that are currently in the Vpop race such as Trung Quan, HIEUTHUHAI, Wren Evans, Tang Duy Tan, Den was honored in the Male Singer of the Year category. He expressed his gratitude that the judging panel had "opened their hearts" to Rap music and artists like him.
Not only that, Den and his crew also won the Music Video of the Year award.
"To achieve the images in "Cooking for you", Den and the crew argued a lot because they didn't know how to process the images for this MV. After that, we all agreed that life up there, the efforts of the teachers, the efforts of the children, let everything appear as real as possible. That's how "Cooking for you" comes to the audience.
The male singer confided that he is very grateful to the audience, everyone is the most important element. He believes that the MV will be a tool to inspire love for humanity and compassion in every Vietnamese person.
The male artist also hopes that the audience will continue to support so that the lives of children in the highlands will become better and better.
Den was moved when "Cooking for You" was awarded Music Video of the Year.
Not only Den Vau, Double2T is also an artist who "won big" with 2 awards at the 2024 Dedication Awards ceremony. He received two awards: New Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for the song A Loi.
As soon as it was released, À Lỗi quickly created a fever thanks to capturing the psychology of listeners, especially young people. The success of À Lỗi once again proves the appeal of combining folk elements and contemporary music.
Double2T received two awards: Artist of the Year and Song of the Year with the song "À Lỗi".
At the award ceremony, Double 2T happily shared: " I am very happy and proud to receive the New Artist of the Year award. This honor makes me feel that I can contribute more to Vietnamese music. As soon as possible, I plan to release the first album of my career."
In the Producer of the Year category, the DTAP group won. This is the third time DTAP has been named in the Producer of the Year category. Previously, DTAP won the Dedication Award in this category in the 2020 and 2023 seasons.
Musician Do Bao was honored in the Program of the Year category with the live show Do Bao & Friends | A Vast Alone. This is Do Bao's 8th Dedication Cup out of a total of 16 nominations since the Dedication Award was established.
Vietnam Idol 2023 was honored in the category of Program Series of the Year.
