

The total unloading capacity of 7 fishing ports is 154,500 tons/year, equivalent to 83.51% of seafood output. Meeting the requirements of traceability, confirming raw seafood exploited at designated fishing ports, preventing illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing activities.
Nghe An has also invested in upgrading 5 storm shelter anchorages for fishing boats, including 2 regional anchorages: Lach Con and Lach Quen; 3 provincial anchorages: Lach Thoi, Lach Van and Lach Lo. All anchorages ensure 2,999 fishing boats can safely anchor and avoid storms, equivalent to 92.28% of the total number of fishing boats in the province.In addition, waterways in the province are dredged and embankments are built to limit sand deposition to ensure safety for fishing boats entering and exiting, regardless of the tide.
Facilities for building and converting fishing vessels are inspected and maintained to ensure they fully meet the prescribed conditions.

By 2030, facilities supplying fuel, input materials and facilities purchasing and processing aquatic products for fishing vessels will be inspected, completed and fully meet business conditions according to regulations on fishing logistics needs. Forming a concentrated aquatic product processing area and fishing logistics services with a scale of 30 hectares at Lach Quen port, Quynh Luu district.
The total initial cost for upgrading fishing ports, storm shelters and dredging channels is nearly 2,400 billion VND. Of which, the central budget is over 1,673 billion VND, the provincial budget is 71.5 billion VND, and other budgets are 603.9 billion VND.
According to information from the Department of Fisheries and Fisheries Control, up to now, there have been 4 fishing ports invested in and built in the province, including Quynh Phuong fishing port, Lach Quen fishing port, Lach Van fishing port and Cua Hoi fishing port.
Up to now, all 5 storm shelter anchorage areas for fishing boats in the province have been announced by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as qualified for operation with a total capacity of 2,000 boats of all kinds, equal to 65% of the planned anchorage capacity...
