The performance took place at the Cappella Paolina auditorium in the Italian Presidential Palace, Rome on the evening of July 26.
Notably, the program was witnessed by President Vo Van Thuong and his wife, Italian President Sergio Mattarella and his daughter, and many senior officials of the two countries.
At 10pm local time, the Cappella Paolina auditorium was packed with invited spectators. From the first sound to the last, the audience held their breath, listening attentively and following every emotion of each note and each musical phrase.
Artists from the Vietnam National Academy of Music demonstrated their international class and confidence with their versatile performances on stage. The brilliant performance of Meritorious Artist Bui Cong Duy in Antonio Vivaldi's Presto was an important highlight of the program. It is also impossible not to mention the excellent and classy performance of opera artist Pham Khanh Ngoc in two famous Italian Arias that captivated many audiences.
The performance Mien Nam que huong ta oi by Meritorious Artist Le Giang and the performance Vu khuc Tay Nguyen by Meritorious Artist Nguyen Thi Hoa Dang enriched the music night, both imbued with Vietnamese national identity and international integration. The initiative and flexible rhythm of conductor Tran Nhat Minh helped the Hanoi Chamber Orchestra easily catch up with the musical breath of the soloists.
The final performance Vietnam My Homeland with the participation of all artists conveyed a beautiful and humane message of Vietnam to international friends.
At the end of the program, President Vo Van Thuong and his wife, President Sergio Mattarella and his daughter went on stage to shake hands and congratulate each artist. President Sergio Mattarella was interested in learning about two traditional musical instruments, the Dan Bau and the Dan T'rung, introduced by President Vo Van Thuong on stage.
Previously, on July 25, the special concert program to welcome President Vo Van Thuong and his wife in the Esterhazy Castle, HAYDN SAAL Hall, Burgenland State (Austria) also left special emotions. The program was prepared for 60 minutes, but with the respect to listen to the world's top art works from Vietnamese artists, it was extended by 40 minutes to respond to the enthusiastic response from the Austrian audience.
Conductor Tran Nhat Minh coordinated the Hanoi Chamber Orchestra in a youthful, confident and convincing style with a series of difficult works that required high virtuosity in performance.
The performance of opera singer Pham Khanh Ngoc in Aria Nun beut die Flur from Oratoria "Creation" by Haydn created excitement for the audience. In addition, Meritorious Artist Le Giang performed the soulful and gentle Southern folk song Lullaby combined with the String Orchestra, making the audience feel like they were lost in the space of beautiful Vietnam.
The cheerful T'rung duet by Meritorious Artist Nguyen Thi Hoa Dang and Meritorious Artist Le Giang made the audience clap their hands in delight and applause.
The highlight of the program was the skillful performance of Meritorious Artist Bui Cong Duy and the Hanoi Chamber Orchestra with immortal works by Austrian composer F. Kreisler. The final part of the program was given to the Hanoi Chamber Orchestra with the famous and energetic Hungarian Dance No. 5 by composer J. Brahms and the closing performance of the program My Homeland Vietnam by musician Do Nhuan with the presentation of Meritorious Artist Tan Minh and other artists was very touching with the combination of all artists that made the audience stand up and applaud.
