Nam Hoi An Development Company Limited proposed to build an additional 18-hole golf course, with an area of about 65 hectares, located within the project boundary, to the west of Vo Chi Cong Street (in Binh Duong commune, Thang Binh).
Currently, the company has cleared about 19.7 hectares of land in this area, and the remaining 45.3 hectares have not been cleared. The company is focusing on accelerating the site clearance work to complete in the 2024 - 2025 period.
According to Nam Hoi An Development Company Limited, the proposed area for the construction of the new golf course is barren land, without an irrigation system, very difficult for agricultural cultivation, and has a relatively sparse population, suitable for building a golf course.
This project not only inherits and promotes the socio-economic efficiency of the Hoiana Shores Club golf course that is being exploited, but also is a step to concretize the tourism development orientation of Quang Nam province in the provincial planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 72 dated January 17, 2024.
At the same time, it is consistent with the development orientation of Duy Hai - Duy Nghia New Urban Area when the population development target by 2025 is 25,000 people, by 2030 is 35,000 people.
Currently, there are 3 golf courses in the province: Hoiana Shores Golf Club, Mongomerie Links and Vinpearl Golf Nam Hoi An.
The Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches and units to study and consider the proposal of Nam Hoi An Development Company Limited on this issue to review, inspect and advise the Provincial People's Committee to resolve in accordance with its authority and regulations.
