Responding at a press conference this afternoon about exam code 119 with dozens of errors in Dak Lak, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong said that the steering committee has grasped the information and assigned the provincial exam steering committee to specifically review and handle the matter according to the principle of ensuring the rights of candidates.

If the printed sentence makes it impossible for the candidate to read the question or do it, a specific solution will be reported.

According to previous feedback from parents, the math exam code 119 of the high school graduation exam in Dak Lak had a serious error, affecting the exam results.

Specifically, a page of the math test code 119 had dozens of errors. The test contained both Vietnamese writing style errors and mathematical notation errors.

Some questions have errors in both the questions and the answers, wrong formulas, wrong nature, and missing data. This will affect the rights of candidates using math for university admission.

Previously, on the afternoon of June 27, more than 1 million students nationwide completed the math test in the 2024 high school graduation exam.

Commenting on the math exam, teacher Nguyen Thi Hong, Head of the Math - IT group, Lomonosov Secondary and High School, Hanoi, said that although this year's exam was stable in structure compared to last year, the level of difficulty increased, especially questions 39 to 50.

According to Ms. Hong, the 5 questions in the 11th grade program are all at the recognition level (arithmetic progression, combination) and understanding level (probability, angle, distance). The remaining 33 questions at this level are all in the 12th grade program, completely for high school graduation purposes, not to challenge students.

Although the question of applying integration to calculate the distance traveled by a car is familiar to students, the female teacher considered it a good question because the Ministry of Education and Training boldly included a practical problem in the question.

Questions 39 to 50 are all at the application and high application level, many of which are quite unfamiliar to students, requiring them to flexibly use knowledge in many specialized areas to solve them.

"The predicted average score for math this year is 7.4 points and it will be harder to get a score of 9-10 than last year," teacher Nguyen Thi Hong predicted.

Teacher Tran Manh Tung, a math teacher in Hanoi, commented that the math exam was quite differentiated, predicting a score average of 7 points, lower than last year.
