Hanoi The general Literature exam for 1,600 candidates was two pages long, using materials from the poems Homeland (author Te Hanh) and Distant Stars (Le Minh Khue), on the morning of June 4.
This year, nearly 1,600 students registered for the 10th grade exam at the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The school's quota is 170, of which 136 are for the specialized program and 34 are for the high-quality program.
All candidates must take four written tests, including Literature, Mathematics, English and a specialized subject. The Literature and specialized subject tests are in essay format, with test times of 90 and 150 minutes, respectively. Candidates take the multiple-choice test in Mathematics for 50 minutes and in English for 45 minutes.
Admission score is the total score of all subjects on a 10-point scale, with specialized subjects multiplied by a coefficient of two. The school does not add priority points in admission and does not consider direct admission.
Admission results for specialized classes will be announced before July 1.
