On October 3rd, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province approved the starting price for the auction of 59 residential land plots in the Sa Huynh fishing village residential area, Pho Thanh ward, Duc Pho town.
Accordingly, 59 residential plots in the Sa Huynh fishing village residential area, Pho Thanh ward, Duc Pho town, with areas ranging from 100 to 139 m2/plot, have an approved starting price of nearly 51 billion VND.

Specifically, 56 out of 59 plots have an area of 100 m2/plot; the remaining 3 plots are larger, including one plot of 104 m2, one plot of 108 m2, and the largest plot of 139 m2. The starting price for the 59 plots ranges from 823 million VND/plot to nearly 1.3 billion VND (for the 139 m2 plot).
The People's Committee of Quang Ngai province assigns responsibility to the Department of Finance, the People's Committee of Duc Pho town, and related units to be legally accountable for the accuracy of the information used as the basis for approving the starting price for auctioning this land plot (59 plots).
Also today, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province issued a decision approving the starting price for auctioning land use rights for 24 residential plots within a closed-loop residential area plan in Duc Lan commune and 16 plots in the Cho Ga residential area in Duc Hoa commune (Mo Duc district).
Specifically, for the 24 residential land plots within the closed-loop residential area planning project to be auctioned for land use rights in Duc Lan commune, the starting price is over 8.8 billion VND, with each plot priced between 204 million and 864 million VND.

For the 16 plots of land in the Cho Ga residential area in Duc Hoa commune, the starting price is over 7.4 billion VND, with prices ranging from 403 million VND/plot to 626 million VND/plot.
As of the end of September 2023, due to various objective reasons, the real estate market in general and Quang Ngai in particular remained sluggish, resulting in the province's land use fee revenue reaching only 25% of the planned target.
Currently, some projects are behind schedule compared to the plan assigned by the Provincial People's Committee, such as the Hang Duong Beach Eco-tourism Area project, with a planned land use fee collection of 170 billion VND, but 60 days behind schedule; the Urban Renovation project in the northern area of Thien But Mountain, with a planned budget of over 272 billion VND, but 70 days behind schedule; and the My Tra - My Khe Roadway Residential Area project, with a planned budget of 450 billion VND, but 40 days behind schedule.
To expedite the collection of land use fees, Mr. Dang Van Minh, Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee, requested the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to coordinate with the Department of Justice to review the legal basis for advising the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Council a proposal to abolish the provision that commercial and service land prices are 60% of residential land prices. This is an urgent task to establish new commercial and service land prices in the coming years. For projects planned to collect land use fees in 2023, the plan must be based on actual conditions, legal documents, and procedures to ensure that land use fees are collected in accordance with the law.
Mr. Dang Van Minh agreed to adjust the plan of the Provincial People's Committee, requesting relevant departments and agencies to promptly implement procedures to organize land use fee auctions for the Hang Duong Beach Eco-tourism Area project, the 20 land plots belonging to the resettlement area project combined with land development for the construction of the Tinh Ky system project, the urban renovation project of the northern Thien But mountain area, and other resettlement projects in 2023…
