Speeding up the progress of works commemorating Dien Bien Phu Victory

The Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu Primary School project is one of the province's key projects being built to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory. The project has a total investment of 70 billion VND, of which the support capital from Hanoi City is 65 billion VND, and the local budget balance is 5 billion VND. The implementation period is from 2022 to 2024, with the Provincial Project Management Board of Civil and Industrial Works as the investor.

Although there are no problems with the site (because the project does not have to carry out site clearance), difficulties and problems still arise during the project implementation process.

Mr. Pham The Ba, Head of Project Supervision and Management Department (Provincial Civil and Industrial Project Management Board) said: During the construction process, the investor discovered that the repair project of the Foreign Language - Information Technology Center classroom building did not ensure the structure and load-bearing capacity, so he coordinated with the consulting unit, relevant departments and branches to request the adjustment policy. After inspection, the project was approved for the adjustment policy.

The investor and construction unit are working hard to complete the project to repair and upgrade Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu Primary School by the end of January 2023.

To ensure the quality of the project, the Provincial Civil and Industrial Project Management Board has assigned 4 supervisors to be present at the site regularly. With the motto "if there is construction at the site, there will be supervision", the supervisory team has made an important contribution to speeding up the progress as well as improving the quality of the project. The contractors are striving to complete and put the project into use before May 7, 2024.

The Provincial Guest House project is also a key project to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory. The project has a total investment of 150 billion VND, divided into 2 bidding packages, the project implementation period is 2021 - 2024.

Although previously facing many difficulties related to bidding and design, with the strong direction of the province, as well as the active participation of the investor and contractor, the project has overcome these difficulties. Up to now, the project has completed many items such as: Finished pouring concrete for reinforcement; pouring concrete for the shaft floor; concrete for floor columns; gates, fences; swimming pools; underground water tanks, etc. The equipment supply and installation package is being implemented.

The Guest House project is expected to be completed before the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.

In particular, to ensure the right progress, the unit tightens the management of workers' time at the end of the year, especially the New Year and Lunar New Year 2024 holidays. Regularly encourage workers to strive, share difficulties, for the common goal of speeding up the project progress. With the current progress, the unit is committed to ensuring the completion of the project before the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.

Currently, in the province, especially in Dien Bien Phu City, 26 key projects are being implemented on technical infrastructure investment and social infrastructure development. In addition, there are key projects on site clearance when constructing the Dien Bien Airport Expansion Investment Project. Up to now, in addition to a number of projects that have been completed or basically completed (Thanh Binh Bridge Project; Dien Bien Airport Expansion Investment Project), other projects are under construction.

Contractors are racing against time to speed up the construction progress.
