Hai Lang Power Company is assigned to manage and operate the 22kV and 0.4kV power grids in 13 communes, 1 town in Hai Lang district and 1 commune in Trieu Phong district. By 2024, Hai Lang Power Company has managed 259 transformer stations and 260 transformers with a total capacity of 64,231.5 kVA. The total length of the 22kV line is 218.942 km, the total length of the 0.4kV line is 401.939 km. The number of customers as of early 2024 is 24,473 customers who have signed electricity use contracts.

To prepare the infrastructure for the Southeast Quang Tri Economic Zone, Quang Tri Industrial Park, EVNCPC and PC Quang Tri have focused on investing in the construction and renovation of the power grid every year. From 2022 to present, the electricity industry has invested in the project to complete the overload prevention of the power grid in Hai Lang area; the project to add switching, segmentation and remote control equipment in Quang Tri province; the project to improve the reliability of the load transformer stations in Quang Tri province; the project to repair the 22kV line and the load transformer station in Hai Lang area.
In 2023, the electricity industry will continue to invest in a project to prevent overloading of the medium-voltage grid in the southern region of Quang Tri province worth over 14 billion VND; a project to improve the reliability of the load transformer stations in Quang Tri province by replacing 7 long-term operating transformers and completing the project to prevent overloading of the low-voltage grid at Hai Lang district.
Major repair projects include the rural low-voltage grid project after receiving the Hai Lang area; overhaul of the 22 kV branch line of the Cau Nhi Pump line, output 477; repair of the 22 kV branch line of the Co Luy Pump line, output 472; repair of the 22 kV branch line of the Hai Lang Gach Tuynel line, output 472 E83; repair of the 22 kV branches of the Tan Dien and Hoi Ky lines, output 475 E83.
In 2024, the electricity industry will continue to invest in projects to complete the overload prevention of the low-voltage substation in Hai Lang area; projects to improve the reliability of substations in Quang Tri province; installation of lightning protection and smart lightning protection wires on medium-voltage output lines in Quang Tri province; repair of some branches and output lines 471 E83, 473 E83; repair of 22kV output line 482 of Hoi Yen project...
In particular, to ensure safe and continuous power supply for the construction of My Thuy Port Area, Hai Lang Power Company has proactively worked with My Thuy International Port Joint Stock Company (MTIP) to sign a contract to lease generators, connect lines after the meter and develop a plan to supply safe and continuous power.
Based on the survey and understanding of the current status of the ceremony area near the low-voltage line after Hai An 2 transformer station (250kV-22/0.4kV) belonging to the output line 472 of Hoi Yen project, the total expected maximum capacity after connecting the load is 100kW, Hai Lang Power Company has made a power supply plan, installed a 3-phase meter, anti-loss box, 160A circuit breaker at Hai An 2 transformer station; pulled a new 400m twisted cable connecting from the reversing switch to the cabinet of the event organizer, hung in combination with the medium-voltage line output line 472 of Hoi Yen project.
In addition, the unit also proactively sources backup generators, develops plans to connect backup generators; connects generators, 3-phase reversing switches according to technical standards. Use ABC 4x120 cable to connect from the generator of the reversing switch to the generator and from the reversing switch to the 3-phase meter box. The 250kVA generator and the reversing switch cabinet are placed close to the roadside at the Hai An 2 transformer station pole. If a power grid failure occurs, the backup 250kVA generator will be mobilized to supply power.
Prepare sufficient fuel and connection materials to be ready to supply electricity when there is a power grid failure to ensure the generator operates continuously and stably. Arrange personnel to operate during the entire time from the installation of the generator to the end of the ceremony. Thanks to the preparation and development of scientific and thoughtful power supply plans, Hai Lang Power Company has contributed to the success of the ceremony to launch the construction of the My Thuy Port Area project.
Director of Hai Lang Power Company Tran Ngoc Son said that in 2025, Hai Lang Power Company plans to include in its investment portfolio a number of projects such as: preventing overload of the medium voltage grid to reduce power loss in the southern region of Quang Tri province; renovating and increasing the cross-section of the 22kV transmission line of My Chanh project; renovating and increasing the cross-section of the 22kV transmission line of Hai Duong branch to route 472; renovating and increasing the cross-section of the 22kV transmission line of Tham Khe branch to route 472; renovating and increasing the cross-section of the 22kV transmission line of Hai Duong Pump branch to route 473; installing lightning protection wires and smart lightning protection in Quang Tri province in 2025; completing and preventing overload of the low-voltage power grid in Hai Lang district and the project to improve the reliability of the load transformer stations in the south of Quang Tri province in 2025.
With the attention of the electricity industry, in 2025, Hai Lang Electricity will continue to complete the power grid infrastructure to effectively serve key projects and works in the district.
