Like previous gold bar auctions, the volume of gold bars offered by the State Bank is 16,800 taels.

The reference price to calculate the deposit value is VND 88.9 million/tael, VND 300,000 higher than the reference price of the most recent session on May 21.

Bidding members are required to deposit 10% of the expected value of the gold bar volume bid.

The minimum bidding volume each member is allowed to bid is 5 lots (equivalent to 500 taels). The maximum bidding volume each member is allowed to bid is 40 lots (equivalent to 4,000 taels).

The bidding price step is 10,000 VND/tael and the bidding volume step is 1 lot (100 taels), these regulations remain unchanged compared to previous sessions.

From April 19 to now, the State Bank has organized 8 auctions to sell SJC gold bars, with a total winning volume of 35,100 taels. Of these, 3 auctions were unsuccessful (due to insufficient number of registered members) and 5 auctions were successful.

The most recent auction took place on May 21, with 9 winning bidders with a total winning volume of 79 lots (7,900 taels). The only winning bid was VND89.42 million/tael.

The winning bid price in this session was 0.82 million VND higher than the reference price for calculating the deposit that the State Bank gave before the session (88.6 million VND/tael).

Early afternoon of May 22, gold prices were listed by businesses as follows:

SJC gold in Hanoi and SJC gold in Da Nang: 88.9 million VND/tael for buying, 90.9 million VND/tael for selling, up 200,000 VND/tael compared to yesterday's price in both directions.

SJC Phu Quy gold is listed at 88.9 million VND/tael for buying (up 300,000 VND/tael compared to yesterday's price), 90.5 million VND/tael for selling (up 100,000 VND/tael compared to yesterday's price).

DOJI gold price in Hanoi and DOJI in Ho Chi Minh City is 88.9-90.5 million VND/tael, respectively increased by 300,000 VND/tael (buy) and 100,000 VND/tael (sell) compared to yesterday's price.
