From the afternoon of April 26, 2024, in the cliff area of Phan Can Su village, Y Ty commune, Bat Xat district, a fire broke out due to people burning fields, causing the fire to spread to the area of bushes and regenerated trees. Up to now, the fire has been completely controlled.
According to information from the Bat Xat Nature Reserve Forest Protection Department, at about 2:00 p.m. on April 26, 2024, a fire broke out in Phan Can Su village, Y Ty commune, Bat Xat district.

Immediately after discovering the fire, the Bat Xat Nature Reserve Forest Protection Department coordinated with the People's Committee of Y Ty commune and the commune police to mobilize local forces and local people to participate in fire fighting and verify the cause and the person who caused the fire.

Due to the high cliffs, rugged terrain, and strong winds, the fire spread widely and was difficult to extinguish. By 11 p.m. on April 26, the large fire had basically been extinguished. However, at some hard-to-reach spots, the fire continued to smolder through the night. By the morning of April 27, the fire was completely contained.

According to the local preliminary report, the total burned area is about 1 hectare in Sub-area 53, Phan Can Su village, Y Ty commune. The burned trees on the cliff are mainly ground cover, cogon grass, bushes, reeds, and regenerated trees.


Based on initial information, people burned fields on the cliff causing the fire to spread. Currently, the Forest Protection Department of Bat Xat Nature Reserve is coordinating with local authorities and relevant agencies to continue investigating and clarifying.
