Tuition

Tuition fees are divided into 2 groups.

Group 1: Students at schools in Thu Duc City and districts 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, Binh Thanh, Phu Nhuan, Go Vap, Tan Binh, Tan Phu, Binh Tan; Group 2: Students at schools in Binh Chanh, Hoc Mon, Cu Chi, Nha Be and Can Gio districts.

Tuition fees for primary school level are the basis for implementing the policy of supporting tuition fees for private primary school students in areas where there are no public primary schools and private primary school students are entitled to tuition exemption and reduction policies according to regulations.

5-year-old preschool children are exempt from tuition fees from the 2024–2025 school year (effective from September 1, 2024) and secondary school students are exempt from tuition fees from the 2025–2026 school year (effective from September 1, 2025).

Tuition fees from the 2024-2025 school year for public preschool and general education institutions that self-finance regular expenses will be implemented based on economic and technical norms and cost norms per student, submitted to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for consideration and approval by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council.

Continuing education institutions and other training institutions implementing general education programs shall apply tuition fees equivalent to those of public general education institutions of the same level in the area.

Tuition fees for online learning are 50% of the tuition fees issued by public educational institutions.

9 school service fees approved by the People's Council

Revenues from services serving and supporting educational activities according to Resolution No. 13/2024/NQ-HDND and revenues from organizing other educational activities, schools shall implement in accordance with the list of revenues and collection levels specified in Article 2 of this Resolution.

Based on the actual situation of the educational institution and the needs of the students, the educational institution shall agree with the students' parents on a specific collection level, but not exceeding the collection level prescribed in this resolution and not being 15% higher than the collection level implemented in the 2023-2024 school year.

The Department of Education and Training has proposed 17 other fees, depending on the level of education.

Revenues from organizing other educational activities:

1. Organization fee for 2 sessions/day;

2. Organize enhanced foreign language teaching;

3. Funding for organizing computer science teaching (enhanced computer science teaching; digital citizenship education activities);

4. Organizing life skills education activities and school programs (teaching gifted classes, elective physical education, clubs, swimming lessons; teaching life skills; STEM education; learning foreign languages ​​with foreigners; learning foreign languages ​​using supplementary software; foreign language learning programs through math and science; foreign language education activities according to output standards of international certificates; educational activities to survey and familiarize preschool children with English);

5. Organize vocational training at continuing education facilities;

6. Teaching additional knowledge at continuing education facilities.

Revenues from organizing educational activities carried out according to the projects:

7. Organize classes according to the Project "Teaching and learning math, science and English integrating English and Vietnamese programs";

8. Organize classes according to the Project "Improving capacity, knowledge, and skills in applying information technology for high school students in Ho Chi Minh City according to international standards, period 2021-2030";

9. Organize the implementation of the Project "Advanced School, International Integration";

10. Money to implement investment stimulus program.

Fees for individual students:

11. Purchase equipment and supplies for boarding students;

12. Purchase of school uniforms;

13. School supplies - learning tools - learning materials;

14. Lunch for boarding students;

15. Breakfast (VND/student/day);

16. Drinking water fee (VND/student/month);

17. Student vehicle parking fee (VND/vehicle/trip).

The education sector will strengthen inspection, examination and supervision of revenue and expenditure at the beginning of the school year at affiliated educational institutions according to management decentralization, promptly correcting the situation of collecting fees that are not in accordance with regulations.
