Dang Van Lam injured again

In the 33rd minute, Le Ngoc Bao passed the ball back to Dang Van Lam but it went weak. The goalkeeper born in 1993 had to rush out of the penalty area, then collided with Phan Xuan Dai, resulting in an injury to his right leg. Van Lam was treated by Binh Dinh's medical team for three minutes, then left the field to make way for Nguyen Manh Cuong.

On December 31, 2023, Van Lam joined the Vietnam national team for a medical examination and was diagnosed with a right calf strain and Achilles tendonitis. He had to rest completely for three weeks, so he missed the 2023 Asian Cup.

Van Lam will be taken to the hospital for a detailed examination of his injury this morning, February 19. Without the number one goalkeeper, Binh Dinh will suffer a great loss, because on February 24, they will play an important match, hosting the top team Nam Dinh in round 10.

Since the beginning of the 2023-2024 V-League season, Van Lam has started all nine matches for Binh Dinh and has three clean sheets. He joined Binh Dinh in the middle of the 2022 season after leaving J-League 1 club Cerezo Osaka, and immediately became the number one goalkeeper for the Quy Nhon team. Previously, Van Lam made his name at Hai Phong Club in 2015. After that, he moved to Muangthong United in Thai League 1 in the 2019 and 2020 seasons.
