In the first 6 months of the year, thoroughly grasping the leadership and direction of the Military Region Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee; closely following the situation and task requirements, the Provincial Military Party Committee focused on comprehensive leadership and direction, successfully completing the tasks. The provincial armed forces focused on grasping, deploying, and organizing the implementation of military, national defense tasks and Party building work, achieving many important results.
In which, it has proactively coordinated to advise the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee to thoroughly grasp and concretize documents of the Central Committee, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Military Region, to issue resolutions, directives, plans, and programs on the implementation of local military and defense tasks associated with socio-economic development, focusing on: Coordinating to advise the Provincial Party Standing Committee to issue Directives on leadership and direction of the implementation of local defense and military tasks in 2024; Action Program of the Provincial Party Committee to implement Resolution No. 44-NQ/TW dated November 24, 2023 of the Party Central Committee on "Strategy for protecting the Fatherland in the new situation"; inspecting the leadership and direction of the implementation of local defense and military tasks; selecting 1 and handing over 3,655 citizens to join the army to ensure quality (reaching 100% of the target); Direct 4 districts and cities to conduct defense zone drills and forest fire prevention drills close to reality, ensuring safety. Strengthen propaganda, education and organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day and preparations for Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term. Regularly coordinate to grasp the situation, advise on timely and effective handling of situations, contribute to maintaining political security, social order and safety, create a stable environment for socio-economic development, build a clean and strong Party organization, a comprehensively strong unit "Exemplary, typical".

On behalf of the Military Region 4 Command, Lieutenant General Tran Vo Dung, Political Commissar of Military Region 4, congratulated the results that the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in the province and the Thanh Hoa Provincial Military Party Committee have promoted the spirit of solidarity and unity in all fields in the first 6 months of 2024. Regarding the tasks for the last months of 2024 and 2025, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Military Party Committee Do Trong Hung requested the Provincial Party Committee and Military Command to continue to coordinate in advising and directing the effective implementation of military and defense tasks in 2024 to ensure consistency and good quality. Directing the close organization of district-level defense zone drills, commune combat drills in defense zones, and drills for units to ensure safety.
Regularly coordinate with forces in grasping, assessing, and forecasting the local situation, fully preparing forces and means, and advising on effective handling of defense and security situations; proactively develop plans to participate in preventing, combating, and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, epidemics, and rescue in the province; coordinate with local Party committees and authorities of districts, towns, and cities to lead, direct, and unify the implementation of military and defense tasks to build a strong all-people national defense, and build up potential and a solid defense position in the area.
Improve the quality of political education and law dissemination; promote propaganda and emulation activities; direct agencies and units to coordinate and advise local Party committees and authorities to organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day; develop a plan to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Provincial Armed Forces' Traditional Day (August 24, 1945 - August 24, 2025). Continue to synchronously and drastically deploy solutions to build a comprehensively strong unit that is "exemplary and typical" and make breakthroughs in "Improving the leadership capacity and combat strength of grassroots Party committees; quality of training, combat readiness, drills and discipline enforcement"; focus on political and ideological education, troop management, and regularization.
