Party Committee of Military Region 3: Issued a resolution to lead the implementation of tasks for the last 6 months of 2023

On the afternoon of July 10, the Party Committee of Military Region 3 held its 7th conference to issue a resolution on leadership in implementing tasks for the last 6 months of 2023. Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army attended and directed the conference. Also attending were Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc, member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of the Military Region; Comrade Ngo Dong Hai, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Military Party Committee of Thai Binh Province. Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Cuong, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of Military Region 3 chaired the conference.

In the first 6 months of 2023, the Party Committee and the Military Region 3 Command focused on leading and directing the armed forces of the Military Region to comprehensively complete the set goals and tasks. Notably, it led and directed agencies and units to strictly maintain discipline and combat readiness regime; review, adjust, and supplement resolutions, plans, and combat readiness options, develop plans to respond to disasters, incidents, natural disasters, and search and rescue for the period 2023 - 2028 and practice transitioning to combat readiness. Closely coordinate with the functional agencies of the Ministry of National Defense to survey areas, do a good job of preparing for defensive combat exercises in the Military Region. Direct the comprehensive completion of the task of training new soldiers, improve the quality of training of subjects and exercises, organize and participate in competitions and sports events with high results and absolute safety...

The Party Committee and the Military Region Command have proactively coordinated with local Party Committees and authorities to effectively lead and direct the implementation of local defense and military tasks. In particular, they have directed the Hai Phong City Military Command to advise the City Party Committee and People's Committee to successfully organize civil defense drills to respond to strong storms, super storms and search and rescue; the Military Commands of the provinces: Hai Duong, Ha Nam, Ninh Binh advised local Party Committees and authorities to proactively deploy tasks to prepare for defense area drills. Effectively carry out education and training on defense and security knowledge for the subjects; build, manage, train seriously, qualitatively and gradually improve the ability to perform tasks of the militia and self-defense forces, reserve forces, and successfully complete the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army to ensure sufficient targets and increasingly high quality...

In addition, the Party Committee of the Military Region has led the synchronous and effective implementation of solutions to build a politically strong armed force of the Military Region; directed the dissemination and implementation of resolutions and plans of the superiors; organized a political activity to study the work "Resolutely and persistently fight against corruption and negativity, contributing to building a clean and strong Party and State" by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong; summarized 12 years of implementing Directive No. 124 and organized a competition for political lecturers at all levels to ensure quality; continued to strictly maintain and improve the quality of Party work and political work in tasks. Speaking at the conference, Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, suggested that in the coming time, the Party Committee of the Military Region needs to focus on leading and directing the armed forces to grasp, forecast, and correctly assess the situation, promptly advise the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to successfully handle defense and security situations, not to be passive and surprised, especially on the border, islands and key areas. Focus on leading and directing close coordination with local Party committees and authorities in performing the task of building a solid defense zone; especially doing a good job of preparing all aspects for the drills and organizing defensive combat drills in the Military Region, drills in provinces and cities according to plan, close to the local situation and achieving high results. Continue to lead and direct the improvement of the quality of training, build discipline training, strengthen night training, mobile training, close to plans and combat areas, combine training with physical training; link training with discipline training; promote the implementation of three breakthroughs in the spirit of the Resolution of the 11th Military Party Congress. Implement the handover, merger and dissolution of agencies and units closely and in accordance with regulations.
