On April 3, the Party Executive Committee of Nghi Son town held the 19th Conference of the XXVI term, 2020-2025, to evaluate the implementation of tasks in the first quarter, deploy key tasks in the second quarter of 2024 and a number of other important contents.

In the first quarter of 2024, despite many difficulties and challenges, with the attention and support of the province and the Central Government; the efforts and strivings of Party committees at all levels, authorities and people, the socio-economic situation in Nghi Son town continued to develop and achieved good results, some areas had outstanding results.
Total social investment capital mobilization is estimated at VND5,670 billion, equal to 22% of the plan, up 2.66% over the same period. Retail sales of goods reached more than VND3,031 billion, up 17.2% over the same period. Export value is estimated at USD407 million, up 31.3% over the same period. State budget revenue in the area is VND606 billion, equal to 61.7% of the provincial estimate, equal to 39.6% of the town People's Council estimate, up 3.8 times over the same period. In the first quarter, there were 128 public investment projects invested by the town and communes and wards. In the first quarter, 41 new enterprises were established, reaching 27.3% of the provincial plan, reaching 22.7% of the town People's Council plan, up 41.4% over the same period.
Comrade Truong Ba Duyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, reported on the implementation of tasks in the first quarter, tasks and key solutions in the second quarter of 2024.
The program of building new rural areas and advanced new rural areas continues to receive attention and direction in Hai Nhan, Tan Truong, Truong Lam and Phu Lam communes; as well as actively implementing the plan to implement the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program in 2024.
Land, natural resources, environment management, and site clearance for projects in the area were focused on. In the first quarter, 109.42 hectares were handed over at 17 projects, reaching 28.3% of the plan, 14.01% higher than the same period.
The fields of culture, information, sports, and social security policies are fully and promptly implemented, and education and training are given attention. National defense, security, and social order and safety are ensured.
The work of building the Party and the political system is focused on . Party committees at all levels focus on thoroughly implementing the Party's directives and resolutions; and well implement the program of fostering and training political theory and professional skills for cadres and party members.
At the conference, delegates discussed and evaluated the results achieved in performing tasks in the fields of socio-economic development, national defense and security, Party building, and political system building. At the same time, they contributed solutions to effectively perform tasks in the second quarter of 2024.

The year 2024 is of special importance, the year of acceleration to the finish line, playing a key and decisive role in completing the goals and tasks of the entire 2020-2025 term. Therefore, the Party Executive Committee of Nghi Son town requests that Party committees at all levels, authorities, agencies and units in the town continue to resolutely, synchronously and effectively implement the tasks and solutions set out in Resolution No. 10-NQ/TU of the Town Party Committee and Resolution No. 316/NQ-HDND of the Town People's Council on goals, tasks and work plans for 2024; enhance the spirit, responsibility, exemplary, proactive, creative, determined and drastic in leadership, direction and organization of task implementation.

The Party Executive Committee of Nghi Son town requested to accelerate the progress of site clearance, especially for projects assigned by the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee. Along with that, strengthen State management of land, construction order and environmental protection; synchronously and drastically implement identified economic development solutions; continue to improve the quality of cultural and social activities, strengthen national defense and security; maintain political security and social order and safety in the area.
Regarding the work of building the Party and the political system, it is necessary to strengthen and do well the political and ideological work associated with promoting emulation movements, creating consensus within the entire Party Committee and the people in the town, determined to successfully implement the set goals and tasks. Continue to lead and direct the improvement of the quality of grassroots party organizations and party members; carry out well the work of training cadres, pay attention to the grassroots with difficulties...
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations continue to innovate content and methods to improve the quality of their activities. Strengthen propaganda and mobilize union members, association members and people of all walks of life to comply with the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State, and actively participate in patriotic emulation movements.
