Nho Quan District Party Committee Half-term creates confidence and motivation for development

Achieving NTM standards 2 years earlier than planned

Right from the beginning of the term, Nho Quan has identified the goal of building a district that meets NTM standards as a key task for the entire political system and the people in the district. However, with a mountainous district facing many difficulties, to achieve the goal of a district that meets NTM standards, Nho Quan needs to make much more effort than other localities in the province.

The District Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Nho Quan District Party Committee have issued a specialized Resolution on building a district that meets the new rural standards; focusing on leadership and direction to mobilize all resources to invest in building synchronous infrastructure, developing the economy, culture, society, ensuring national defense and security. Strengthening propaganda and mobilizing cadres and people, mobilizing maximum resources for building a district that meets the new rural standards.

With the efforts of the Party Committee, government and people, on June 2, 2022, Nho Quan district was recognized by the Prime Minister as meeting the new rural standards, completing 2 years ahead of the target set by the Resolution of the 27th District Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025.

The district's agricultural production has shifted in a positive direction; investment attraction, industry, handicrafts, trade and services have had new developments.

Culture and society have made much progress, social security is guaranteed, the rate of poor households according to multidimensional criteria has decreased every year; people's material and spiritual life continues to improve, the appearance of urban and rural areas has changed a lot.

National defense was maintained and strengthened; political security and social order and safety were ensured; administrative reform and the settlement of citizens' complaints and denunciations were focused on and achieved good results; the management and operation effectiveness of authorities at all levels was improved.

Party and government building work has been carried out synchronously, comprehensively and effectively; the political system has been increasingly consolidated. In 2022, the Nho Quan District Party Committee was classified as having excellently fulfilled its tasks.

7/12 targets achieved and exceeded

After half a term of implementing the Resolution of the 27th District Party Congress, 7/12 main targets of the Congress have been achieved and exceeded the plan, which are: Output of grain crops; budget revenue in the area; number of doctors/10,000 people; number of party members admitted/year; rate of grassroots party organizations completing their tasks well or better.

Indicators such as: The rate of people participating in health insurance; the rate of households using clean water; the number of communes meeting national defense and security standards all exceeded the targets set by the Congress at a high level.

In economic development, agricultural, forestry and fishery production has developed strongly. Every year, the district maintains a total herd of over 20,000 buffaloes and cows; over 1,300,000 poultry; over 90,000 pigs; 9,450 goats; 1,750 deer; 9,780 bees. Nho Quan has built many brands for producing special plants and animals, such as: Areca nut sticky rice in Ky Phu, Van Phu, Son Thanh, Son Lai communes; Bui tree in Ky Phu commune; off-season custard apple in Phu Long commune; taro in Yen Quang; grapefruit in Phu Long, Xich Tho, Gia Son; medicinal plants in Cuc Phuong, Gia Lam, etc.

Local specialties such as: Golden flower tea, Polyscias fruticosa extract, sesame shredded rice, Cita herb Cuc Phuong herbal flower tea, Gia Thuy ceramic flower vase; Dong Phong guava, silkworm floss, Cuc Phuong honey, high-class Vu Gia golden flower tea, high-class Cuc Phuong golden flower tea...

Industrial production and small-scale industry developed strongly; planning, basic construction, management of natural resources - minerals, and environmental protection were given attention and focus and had many clear changes.

Tourism has recovered strongly after the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, Nho Quan welcomed 120,822 visitors (an increase of 15,522 compared to 2020), with estimated revenue of 14.1 billion VND. Services and trade continued to develop, and rural markets were invested in construction and renovation.

Passenger and freight transport activities continue to be maintained and developed, with revenue reaching 335 billion VND in 2022.

Social security, poverty reduction, vocational training, and job creation have received attention and direction, achieving good results.

Ethnic and religious work is carried out in accordance with the policies of the Party and State.

Solutions in the future

Nho Quan District Party Committee is deeply aware that the results achieved in the past half term are only the beginning; Nho Quan still has to face many difficulties and challenges on the development path.

In the coming time, the Nho Quan District Party Committee will focus on leading, directing, and implementing resolutely, synchronously, and effectively the programs and goals of the project. Promote the development of agricultural economy associated with the advantages of each ecological sub-region, in the direction of circular agriculture, safe, organic agriculture, and high-tech application; link agricultural production with the development of ecotourism, experience, and community tourism. Focus on leading and improving the criteria for building new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, and model new rural areas in the direction of sustainable development, striving to have 5 communes meeting the model new rural standards, 13 communes meeting the advanced new rural standards, and 90 model new rural residential areas by the end of 2025.

Actively promote investment, attract investment projects in the fields of trade, services - tourism. Synchronously deploy solutions to manage, exploit and nurture revenue sources. Strengthen state management of land, resources, minerals and environment. Synchronously implement solutions to develop education - training. Maintain and improve the quality of health care and protection for the people. Promote cultural - information and sports activities to improve the cultural and spiritual life of the people. Strengthen social security work, sustainable poverty reduction. Effectively implement religious and ethnic policies.

Strengthening local defense and military work, ensuring political security, social order and safety, judicial reform, preventing and combating corruption and negativity; improving the effectiveness of citizen reception, handling complaints and denunciations. Strengthening the work of building a clean and strong Party and government at all levels; promoting the application of information technology in the operations of state agencies, gradually building e-government.

The results achieved in the past time are an important premise for Nho Quan district to successfully implement the goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the 27th District Party Congress, term 2020-2025. We believe that with the determination, solidarity and high unity of the Party Committee, government and people, Nho Quan district will continue to make breakthroughs and successfully implement the goals and tasks of the term 2020-2025 and the following years.
