Westlife brings world tour to Vietnam
On the evening of September 19, Westlife officially announced that they will bring The Wild Dreams Tour - All The Hits to Vietnam as part of their global tour. Westlife's concert will take place at Thong Nhat Stadium - which can accommodate about 15,000 spectators - on the evening of November 22. In a post on their Fanpage, the band expressed their excitement at returning to Vietnam after 12 years. At the same time, Westlife also said that tickets for the concert will be available for sale from September 26.

The fact that the band associated with the childhood of many audiences of the 8X and 9X generations came to Vietnam caused a stir on many forums overnight. Westlife is a band from Ireland and was formed in 1998. With beautiful appearance, emotional Pop ballad songs, the group has achieved great success worldwide. Many of their songs are familiar to Vietnamese audiences such as I Have A Dream, Seasons In The Sun, My Love, If I Let You Go, Flying Without Wings, You Raise Me Up, Soledad, I Lay My Love On You...
Westlife have had 14 UK #1 singles (from 1999 to 2006), the third most number one singles by an artist or group in the UK (after Elvis Presley and The Beatles, tied with Cliff Richard). The band have sold over 44 million albums in over 40 countries, including over 12 million in the UK alone, and have had 14 UK #1 singles and 13 Irish #1 singles.
In October 2011, the four members of Westlife suddenly announced their disbandment and announced that they would have a farewell tour in the spring of 2012. By 2018, the group had reunited and released their 11th studio album, in 2019.
