In mid-June, a lotus pond in Ninh Binh in full bloom attracted thousands of visitors to take photos and check in. To get in, each person had to pay 100,000 VND for an entrance ticket.
This lotus pond is about 1 hectare wide and is a famous tourist destination in Ninh Binh. Many young people travel from Hanoi by motorbike to get here in about 3 hours.
To have impressive photos, many young people choose unique and outstanding costumes such as: yếm, áo dài, ancient dresses... with many accessories and hand-held props such as fans, hats, lotus flowers...
A photographer said that the ideal time to take photos at the lotus pond is from 5:30 to 7:00 to avoid the crowd. In addition, if coming in the afternoon, visitors often choose when the sunlight is soft or when the sun sets.
Thu Trang (Hanoi) went to the lotus pond to take photos at 6:30 a.m. "I had to go early when it wasn't too crowded so I could pose comfortably without getting caught by other people in the frame," she said.
The path is about 1 meter wide, passing through the middle of blooming lotus flowers. Along with the golden rice fields, and the mountains in the distance, the scenery here is so beautiful that it leaves many visitors in awe.
Rajesh's family went straight to this lotus pond after arriving at Noi Bai airport. "Many friends suggested that Ninh Binh is a beautiful and unique place that I must experience when coming to Vietnam," the Indian tourist shared.
The lotus grown here is a light pink Japanese lotus that blooms from about May to August every year.
Thuy (white shirt, born in 2000) and her friends traveled by motorbike for more than 4 hours from Bac Ninh to visit Hang Mua. "We plan to go to the top of Hang Mua mountain after taking pictures at the lotus pond to see the whole view of Tam Coc," the young woman said.
Despite the hot weather, with temperatures sometimes reaching 36 degrees Celsius, many tourists still "overcome difficulties" to take pictures with lotus flowers.
Many tourists even hire photographers to capture memories. "The basic photo package is 300,000 VND/person, not including costumes.
On peak days, daily income can reach 7-8 million VND," a photographer shared.
Here, lotus flowers are sold for 10,000 VND/flower and costumes are rented for 150,000 VND - 1 million VND, depending on the sophistication and complexity of the photo shoot costume.
