On the morning of November 11, in Gia Nghia City, the People's Committee of Dak Nong Province held a launching ceremony for the Month of Action for Gender Equality and Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence in 2024. This year's month of action takes place from November 15 to December 15, 2024.
Attending the launching ceremony, on the Central side, there was Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) Nguyen Thi Ha.

On the side of Dak Nong province, there were comrades: Y Quang BKrong, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ha Thi Hanh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attending.
The Vietnamese Constitution affirms the principle of gender equality as a strong commitment of the entire political system to promoting gender equality in Vietnam.

In implementing gender equality, Vietnam has completed the legal framework and policies on gender equality, creating conditions for women to have more opportunities to access and participate in all areas of social life.
Thanks to the synchronous implementation of policies and solutions, the gender gap in various areas of social and family life has been significantly narrowed in recent times. A number of national goals on gender equality in the fields of politics, education, and health have achieved good results.

Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee organized the launching ceremony of the Month of Action for Gender Equality and Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence in 2024 with the theme "Ensuring social security, empowering and creating opportunities for women and girls to achieve gender equality and eliminate gender-based violence".
The launching ceremony is one of the activities for Dak Nong province to proactively carry out gender equality and prevent and combat gender-based violence.

At the launching ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh requested provincial departments, branches and sectors and leaders of districts and cities to focus on implementing activities such as communicating policies and laws of the Party and State on gender equality; organizing forums, dialogues, seminars, workshops, competitions and training courses on gender equality and prevention and response to gender-based violence.

Relevant units must increase support for victims of abuse, violence, trafficking, exploitation, women and children in difficult circumstances, and people affected by natural disasters; actively fight against acts of gender discrimination, insults to the honor and dignity of women and children; strictly handle acts of violating the law on gender equality, prevention and control of gender-based violence; promptly implement social security policies.

At the launching ceremony, the Vietnam Children's Fund presented 20 gifts to children in special and difficult circumstances in Dak Nong province.
