On November 29, the Dak Glong District Ethnic Affairs Department coordinated with the Dak Glong District Secondary and High School for Ethnic Minorities to organize a contest to propagate the reduction of early marriage and consanguineous marriage in ethnic minority areas in 2024.

The contest had the participation of 7 teams, selected from 7 grades (from grade 6 to grade 12) of Dak Glong District Secondary and High School for Ethnic Minorities.
The teams competed in three parts: greeting, knowledge and skit. The content of the contest revolved around the Party and State's policies on the Law on Marriage and Family, reducing the situation of early marriage and incestuous marriage in ethnic minority areas.
Through the form of dramatization, the teams vividly reflected the situation, consequences, and harms of early marriage and incestuous marriage in the community, especially in ethnic minority areas.

At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded first prize to the 10th grade team, second prize to the 6th grade team, and third prize to the 12th and 11th grade teams.
The contest is one of the specific activities to implement the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the 2021-2025 period.
The contest contributes to raising awareness and sense of responsibility of the whole society, community and people in ethnic minority areas in implementing legal regulations on marriage and family; reducing child marriage and incestuous marriage, improving health and quality of life.
