Congress to establish the Thanh Ha District Elderly Association

The Executive Committee of the Thanh Ha District Elderly Association for the 2021-2026 term was introduced to the congress.

The congress was attended by 120 official delegates representing over 23,000 elderly members in the district.

In recent years, the work of the Thanh Ha District Elderly Association has had many innovations. Officials and members have promoted the role of exemplary seniors, focusing on effectively implementing three key tasks of organizing, promoting and caring for the elderly.

The district has established intergenerational self-help club models in villages and residential areas; encouraged members to carry out patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Party, State and Fatherland Front, build a strong association, excellently complete tasks, and receive commendations from superiors.

The congress elected an Executive Committee of 19 members.

After the congress of Thanh Ha district, the Association of the Elderly in districts, towns and cities in the province will continue to organize congresses in May and early June. The congress to establish the Provincial Association of the Elderly is expected to be held at the end of June 2024.
