From October 2-3, the 12th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) in Ho Chi Minh City, term 2024-2029, will be held, with 642 delegates attending.

On September 24, Mr. Ngo Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, said that, towards the 12th Congress, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City implemented 5 celebratory projects including: The project "hand-over means, sustainable poverty reduction", donating 183 means of livelihood, worth more than 2.4 billion VND; upgrading Thanh Hoa Hamlet Park, Thanh An Commune, Can Gio District with an investment of 2 billion VND; the project "connecting social security, for the poor in Ho Chi Minh City", donating 4,500 fire extinguishers to 4,500 poor, near-poor households, and those in especially difficult circumstances in Ho Chi Minh City; awarding insurance cards... with a total value of 3.69 billion VND; the project of planting 50,000 trees; praising 50 wards, communes, towns and 50 clean - green - friendly residential areas in Ho Chi Minh City in the period of 2019-2024. Along with that, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City will implement 5 targets and 4 key projects, works and programs. The 12th Congress will also elect an official delegation of 23 delegates to attend the Central Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

In addition, before the Congress, the Organizing Committee will organize a welcoming photo exhibition with the theme "Vietnam Fatherland Front - Imprints of a term". The exhibition will take place from September 24 to October 5, 2024, at Lam Son Park, District 1... According to Mr. Ngo Thanh Son, the Congress will include 3 solemn sessions, taking place over two days, October 2-3; the opening session will take place on the morning of October 2, at which the personnel of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City for the 2024-2029 term will be consulted.
