On May 9 and 10, the Fatherland Front of Yen Dinh district held the 11th Congress of Delegates, term 2024-2029.

During the past term, the Fatherland Front at all levels and member organizations of Yen Dinh district have made efforts and responsibilities to overcome difficulties, actively innovated the content and methods of operation, effectively implemented 5 action programs and targets and tasks set out in the Resolution of the 10th Congress of the Fatherland Front of Yen Dinh district, term 2019-2024, contributing to building and consolidating the great national unity bloc.
Implementing the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", over the past 5 years, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations have mobilized people to voluntarily contribute nearly 500 billion VND, donate over 42,000m2 and contribute over 70,000 working days to build rural roads and social welfare works.
Overview of the congress
The district Fatherland Front has chaired and coordinated the mobilization of the "For the Poor" Fund, raising over 15.1 billion VND, supporting the renovation and repair of 518 houses; supporting the purchase of livelihoods for 85 families; supporting unexpected risks; giving thousands of gifts to poor households during the Lunar New Year every year with thousands of beneficiaries...
Notably, in the past term, the district Fatherland Front coordinated to advise on land allocation and support for house building for 146 households with a total amount of over 47.3 billion VND. Of which, the district Fatherland Front mobilized resources to support 126 households living on the river to build houses to stabilize their lives, with a total amount of over 10 billion VND. Coordinated with the district People's Committee to review and make a list of 70 households with especially difficult housing circumstances, and at the same time mobilized businesses and philanthropists inside and outside the district to create resources to complete house building for households according to the set plan with a total support amount of over 3.5 billion VND... The above activities have contributed to the goal of sustainable poverty reduction, ensuring social security, and effectively implementing the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind".
In addition, promoting the people's mastery and participation in Party building and government building has become increasingly clearer in terms of organization and implementation methods; social supervision and criticism activities have been implemented with increasingly strict and effective processes.
In recognition of the achievements, during the term, many collectives and individuals were commended by all levels and sectors. The District Fatherland Front Committee was awarded the Second Class Labor Medal by the President; the Provincial People's Committee, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee awarded many Certificates of Merit.

The Congress seriously reviewed and frankly pointed out the shortcomings and limitations in the organization and operation methods of the District Fatherland Front Committee for the 2019-2024 term; at the same time, it proposed 10 targets and 6 action programs of the District Fatherland Front Committee for the 2024-2029 term with key goals, tasks and specific solutions.
Speaking at the congress, the leaders of the provincial and district Fatherland Front Committees acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding achievements of the Yen Dinh District Fatherland Front Committee in the past term. At the same time, they pointed out the key tasks that the District Fatherland Front Committee for the 2024-2029 term needs to focus on implementing, namely: Continuing to promote propaganda work, raising awareness among cadres, party members and people of all walks of life about the cause of great national unity, about the position, role, functions and tasks of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the new period. Paying attention to performing well the role and functions of the Fatherland Front in the current period, mobilizing people to actively participate in Party building, building the government and the increasingly strong political system. Effectively implementing the work of social supervision and criticism and coordinating well the organization of People's Council sessions, meetings with voters between National Assembly deputies, People's Council deputies at all levels with voters in the district. Directing activities to the grassroots level, to affirm that the Vietnam Fatherland Front is truly a political alliance organization, a bridge between the Party, the government and the people; closely attached to the people, caring for the people.
On this occasion, comrade Le Hong Phong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, presented the congress with a painting of Uncle Ho shaking hands with Uncle Ton - a sacred and noble symbol of the great national unity bloc.
District leaders representative presented the banner of the District Party Committee to the Congress.
Comrade Trinh Xuan Thuy, Provincial Party Committee member, District Party Committee Secretary presented flowers to congratulate the Congress and presented a banner of the District Party Executive Committee with the words "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development contributing to building Yen Dinh to soon become a model district".

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development", the congress democratically elected 71 members to join the Yen Dinh District Fatherland Front Committee, term XI, 2024-2029. At the first conference, the District Fatherland Front Committee, term XI, elected 4 members to join the Standing Committee of the District Fatherland Front Committee.
Mr. Le Duc Tho, member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee, Chairman of the District Fatherland Front Committee for the 2019-2024 term, was re-elected as Chairman of the District Fatherland Front Committee for the 11th term, 2024-2029 term. The Congress also consulted and elected 8 members to attend the 15th Provincial Fatherland Front Congress, term 2024-2029.
